Update since owner responded:
Thank you for the response Diane, I appreciate your prompt involvement. I understand that we are all human and makes mistakes, but the same care for each meal should happen whether the establishment is busy or not. When I arrived to pick up my meal, there were only two tables already eating and one other take-out meal waiting to be picked up. I’ve been to your restaurant when it’s extremely busy and none of the issues I have described have happened. Also, I am curious why you would admittedly “stretch the homefries thin” and charge your customers the same amount for less quantity? That makes me even more upset that you knew you were making even more of a profit off your loyal customers. In my honest opinion, an establishment should serve the regular size of portions until it has run out, then tell the customers that you’re sold out of that item. Don’t cut us short and charge us for a full meal. ——— I really wanted to leave 5 stars because usually we eat in the restaurant on our way home from Algonquin (5 time this summer alone), but today we had to call in a take-out order due to timing and the thanksgiving holiday closure at 3pm. We got “our usual”. Really underwhelmed this time around because every other time, blue moon hits the nail on the head but our meals were SO tiny today and missing ingredients that we are usually served (ie; no cheese on the Greek omelette that always seems to have feta when ordered ironing in). Usually I have to ask for a container to take my leftovers which equate to an entire meal home, but this time I was left hungry after my meal…. Maybe only got 20 pieces of hash brown with our takeout meal today, and on a normal day we would receive a whole takeout container full of them. Also, with our takeout meal, all of the ketchup packs that were given to us has a sticky substance on them which was less than appetizing and messy. Just feel like this whole take-out meal was rushed today and not cared about, and for $60 was not worth it. Would not recommend ordering take-out...

My friend took me to the Blue Moon Junction for dinner on Fathers Day because she recommended it. We had to wait for a table that was available but covered in debris and no one cleaned it up yet. The waitress approached us and warned us that our wait will be long due to " Young staff members ". After taking our orders my friend had to go to the bar to get some glasses of water because no one showed up with any. Not very long afterwards a young waitress showed up with a salad in her hand walked towards the area of our table which only had four tables and looked like she was lost and couldn't find her way. She simply stood there with a salad in her hand not saying anything, until our Waitress directed her to our table. Our waitress arrived and gave my friend her dinner, then she walked away and came back with someone else's order and dropped it in front of me and asked me " is this what you ordered " ? I had to reorder because she had no idea what my order was. My order was a turkey club sandwich on rye with fries and gravy. ($ 20.66 ) The toast was burnt and the portion of turkey was so small we had a hard time identifying it as turkey. I brought this to the waitresses attention and asked her if she could identify the substance in my bacon and tomato sandwich. " that's the Turkey" she said. I actually laughed in her face and told her this is the worst club sandwich I've ever seen in my life and I'm 64. There were two other tables with customers next to us, and every one of them complained about the service and the food. My friend was so embarrassed to be there with me. The restaurant got my $20.66 and that's the important thing and that's all they...
Read moreMy family and I walked into this restaurant today (August 6, 2019) on our way back from a weekend at a cottage in the Algonquin Highlands. It was around 12:50 when the young server took our order. We ordered a couple of beers which arrived immediately. We then waited and waited and waited for our meal which consisted of 2 wraps, 2 sandwiches, fries and onion rings - nothing too fancy or elaborate. It was more than an hour later when we realized that at least 3 other tables who had arrived after us were served their meal and one table had even finished their meal and paid the bill. Since no one had come near our table to explain the delay or let us know when our meal would arrive, I went up to the bar where our server was standing and asked her about our meal - I pointed out that I had noticed the faster service at least three other guests had received. To my shock the server shrugged her shoulders and sarcastically responded, "I don't work in the kitchen, you know". No apology for the delay, no explanation, nothing. We decided to leave the restaurant without our meal and when we advised the server of our decision she simply shrugged her shoulders and disappeared. We then asked another server for our bill for our drinks...she advised that the other server (the rude one) had served us so she would have to ring up our bill. We had to wait again. Again the attitude. We paid and left at 2:00 p.m. Not sure if there is a connection but we were the only non-white people in the restaurant. Will actively tell all our friends about...
