They are really cheaping out on the amount of toppings they put on. I ordered a rotisserie chicken wrap, I got about 2 ounces of chicken, 2 pieces tomatoes, 2 pieces of cucumbers, 2 pieces of jalapeno peppers, 3 pieces of hot peppers, 3 leafs of spinach, 3 pieces of black olives, a pinch of lettuce and a quick squirt of sweet onion sauce. I was looking at the employee making it and I thought maybe I was on some prank show or something, I have been to many Subways and never have I seen any Subway location be so stingy on the toppings. After I realized it wasn't a prank I commented to the subway employee that hey I'm paying like $8.00 for this, usually at other locations they make it bigger with more meat and more toppings. I'm not sure if maybe the employee didn't understand English but I got no response. I even had to ask for a bag, the wrap was just handed over to me in the paper it was wrapped in lol. I'm not putting the blame on the employee, this is improper training and it's usually the management telling them to put less meat and less topping to maximize profits and I know this as a fact because at another Subway location they gave me a lettuce wrap. It was 3/4 lettuce and 1/4 the rest of the ingredients and the employee told me they are told to put more lettuce to fill it up because it's the cheapest ingredient. Anyway, it is what it is. Read moreToday, 8.05 am, I visited the store and was told by the woman behind the counter that they open at 8.15. Not true, they open at 8am, but the staff was not ready to serve customers. Her personality and politeness was zero and so was the male sitting at a table, who was giving her no assistance and gave me the stare down. Rude, and I was clearly bothering both of them by being a customer walking into the store. So what we have here, is my second local Subway that I will never enter again as the management/owner, is negligent, who I believe is the same individual as the Waubashene store. This owner fails badly at training the staff to abide by the franchise agreement and Subway corporate should take notice. If you choose to open the store late because your staff is late, you have lost my business once again. How about hire someone local and train them properly, instead of your obvious hiring practices that if I can remind you, this is illegal in Canada. You are supposed to hire the best person for the job, instead of which friend or family member that you choose. All of these words are things that people are too afraid to say, but I am saying it.
