usually really good i’ve been coming here for years, i get the rare beef noodle soup and i always ask for two extra hoisin and two extra chilli oils. the last 7 times i’ve gotten an order, they don’t put any extra. this time when i picked up my order i opened it there and surprise there was no extra hoisin and not even chilli oils. i asked and said when i ordered i said two extra hoisin and two extra chili’s. she says okay, then fills it up, and covered everything with beans. i get home, no extra hoisin, so she had covered it up with beans. i call and tell them i ordered and i still didn’t get any extra, she had covered it up with beans and they tell me well we told her to put it, well she clearly didn’t. i hate to be so disappointed but when im paying for two 15 dollar soups i expect to get the...

The food was good but the service was not great! We were asked if we wanted Jasmine tea we said yes and never got it and the server never came back until she brought the food. We also did not get asked if we wanted any other refreshments. We did not get enough forks/chopsticks or napkins. We did not get the traditional condiments like hosin sauce or hot sauce till we asked for it. When we asked if we could get another fork the server was not pleasant about it! Some of the food for our other diners was quite slow getting out to them. We never got asked if we wanted more water or if we liked our food or needed anything! We discovered Special Noodle House while in Sherwood Park with a craving for authentic Vietnamese food. We didn't want "Oodle Noodle" chain-style food, we wanted the real thing, and this place did not disappoint on any level. The decor is tasteful, the restaurant is spacious and clean, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the food is out of this world. We tried a pho dish, a vermicelli dish, and fried rice. All were outstanding -- fresh and perfectly seasoned! We were also impressed by how reasonable the prices were.
