I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the incredible experience we had at Noir kitchen today because of Chef Sid and server Rommel.Server was too kind and generous to welcome us and offer water and coffee at arrival. He made sure our order was delivered to us as expected because we asked the chef for some customized breakfast options like shredded hash browns and veggie omelette with no peppers and preferred parmesan cheese onions, tomatoes, and spinach, all sautéed to perfection. The eggs were fluffy but firm, holding the generous portion of vegetables without being soggy. The combination of flavors was fresh and vibrant, with just a hint of seasoning that didn’t overpower the ingredients. They used sour dough bread which was toasted to perfection with butter. We really enjoyed our breakfast and thank the amazing chef Sid. It’s worth visiting Noir kitchen for breakfast for their amazing breakfast menu.

For those who have had a negative experience in the past, this place deserves a re-visit. I have visited this restaurant twice recently, after an underwhelming experience a year or two ago. Both times I have been very pleasantly surprised by how good the food and service is. There is absolutely nothing that could be changed about the service! Rommel, the man who served me both times is so kind, attentive, and not once was I interrupted with my mouth full or for small talk. I really appreciated being able to quietly eat my meal at the end of a very long day. I had the prosciutto and arugula pizza last time, and the short ribs tonight. OH! Their peach cobbler is unbelievable. Never had it the way they make it and it's is delicious. I'll definitely be back 🙌

The portion sizes were extremely small. We got the main meals and when they arrived, looked like appetizers. We got short ribs $26, butter chicken with Naan bread $22, pizza $10, roasted carrots $9 and a coffee $3. The kids pizza was a great deal. Our entire bill was $75 for what's it the photo. The food was delicious, but price needs to be lowered or make it an actual meal. If we ever had to go back, we would only order the kids pizza. The atmosphere was great and service was fantastic as well. We were staying at the hotel and went in at 830 pm and didn't look busy

I visited here during a business trip to Smithers. I had gone to the restaurant multiple times. The first time the waiter took my drink order and clearly forgot. Another waitress notice me sitting for quite awhile and asked id even been helped. I told her I had ordered a drink but never got it and I was ready to have my order taken. Again, left sitting waiting for food, never was asked how everything was and then took along time before I got my bill.

I thought it was a one off, Came back the next day.. slightly better service, but was surprised to hear that the waiter from the day before was actually the Manager.

I thought I’d give it one last try, Unfortunately, this time I was very concerned to see waiter/ manager over serving two girls who went up to the bar ( already clearly drunk ) and proceeded to serve them a total of 5 tequilas each.

As I sat there waiting for my order, then waiting for my food. I saw him proceeding to serve them many rounds to their table, to the point the group of girls were yelling and over sharing personal information... the drinks kept pouring and being delivered to the table.

One man at the bar mentioned to the waiter that it was a lot of alcohol he was serving the girls. His response was “ I know, I just miss seeing people have fun.. their having fun. “

At one point he was laughing with another customer about how drunk the girls where.

As someone who managed a restaurant for a few years, I was pretty shocked. I was there for less then a hour and seen the two girls consume about 8-10 shots. Not to mention what ever they were served before I was seated.

Very...

I had the Denver skillet for breakfast. It was alright. But it wasn't a skillet as it came on a plate that they had just put in the oven. It was all potatoes, with maybe 10 tiny pieces of ham, a couple slices of mushrooms and a teaspoon of onions and then had some cheese melted on it with a couple fried eggs thrown on top. Just wasn't what I was expecting.

The service was also not the greatest. I felt like the servers were doing their best, but they seemed too busy doing all the other stuff required to run the place, the tables weren't clean, we didn't get cutlery, and when we asked for some it took like 5 minutes. It took probably 10min to get drinks, the other server came and asked us what we would like to drink because it was taking so long. I felt we were ignored as customers and when we tried to ask for things it was difficult to get their attention. I had to walk up to the bar to ask for more ketchup and our drinks were never refilled. But in saying all of that, the 2 of them did look very busy despite there not being a lot of customers. So I think the problem is from higher up.

I would probably go somewhere else for breakfast if I had the choice. But the food isn't terrible. The experience is just kind of...

This place is hit or miss. There is one issue that stands out with the inconsistencies. One of the cooks in the kitchen put a seasoning spice (contains sugar) on absolutely everything, as well as parmesan. Parmesan is expensive and it tastes bad when you put it on meals that aren't suppose to have it. Why is there parmesan on poutine? Why is there parmesan on nachos? I specifically have to ask for no parmesan and no seasoning spice on any meal I order and the servers look at me like I'm nuts but there's someone in the kitchen that goes to town on it. The seasoning spice has lots of sugar in it and I cannot consume sugar so it's obvious when I order potatoes and I get sick. If I order nachos, there is no need for a sugary seasoning spice on it. Especially if there's parmesan on it too. Parm and sugar are not a great combo on Nachos. I feel there should be some sort of consistency in this restaurant. Anyway, save your spices and save your parmesan. It's not making the...
