Update: I have not seen any email. My daughter was in tears and in shock that night, accused of something she never did and would never dare to. Her table said inappropriate things, she did not, and she dealt with them but not well enough. A learning curve for her. Yet you spoke with everyone ‘else’ before speaking with her personally about it. When you did? it was three weeks after the incident because of an online post (we have no ill will towards the poster she was right about the other customers)
My daughter is a STRONG advocate for everyone different than herself. Anyone who meets her knows how sweet she is and that she’s an ally. She had a perfect high school record and a her current workplace highly values her and her dedication.
She’s a university student and works very hard, she’s taking English! for heavens sake. She’s an aspiring author and understands full well the weight of words. We didn’t bother speaking to you directly, we have good reason to believe that it would be unproductive.
To the public I say, please continue to eat at this establishment. The employees and other manager are great. If you enjoyed yourself and the food I am very happy for you and wish you all a continued pleasant experience :)
I felt this was the only way to have the manager really see how he’s hurt not just my daughter but her family as well. I honestly hope the experience helps him moving forward in his business. We are not hateful and wish him success, even more so with this economy. Peace to all
Management is very unprofessional to their employees. I can’t elaborate unfortunately, but we will never go there again. We’ve shared our experience with our camping and hockey family, many of them will not go there again. If you only care about a food review, no problem the food is great and service is hit or miss. Take that with you and I wish you peace and a pleasurable experience, please move on to the next review.
This is just my way of letting those who do want to spend some of their head space on employee treatment my thoughts.
I know what management is, this isn’t about an upset employee who didn’t like what the boss had to say, hold them accountable or is crying wolf (bullying) because they got caught doing something wrong or gave bad service. This is also nothing of serious criminal offence either. I’m only putting that out there so there aren’t horrible rumours that start and negatively affect the business and its employees.
But I am making this review to make the “one” manager/owner aware that they should be more mindful and insightful of how they manage their employees and understand what a huge responsibility it is when you hire young and green employees, the obligation to teaching them and protecting them. Yes you’re obligated.
I was in the restaurant business for 20 years, I’ve managed, was a cook and served as well in big restaurants like Eastsides and Kelsey’s. I moved on into dietary in healthcare after. So I know what a responsibility it is to train and to help your team grow to be its best that it can be which in turn makes a restaurant the best it can be. You have a responsibility to your staff.. a big one and you need to be present and take advantage of teachable moments. That’s how you become a restaurant family, you build trust, teach and empower your employees which in turn brings success and renown to your business.
Because it shows if all you care about is the look and money.. a good restaurant goes way deeper than the surface rather than just turning a table.
I hope this advice finds management well, I hope moving forward that more attention is given to their employees. You lose the greatest ones by rewarding the bad ones or by failing them completely due to pride and greed, they deserve respect just as much as you require it from them. Your employees are members of the community that surround you. A small community I might add but is growing everyday. Peace be with you this busy holiday and let’s remember what it means to...
Read moreAlthough the food was okay the service was horrendous and you should be embarrassed. I know that everyone is short staffed right now. We tried very hard to be patient. Over 30 min to just get a menu (asked 4 times) and the restaurant was under 40% capacity. We sat in the patio and we were one of only two tables. Over an hour wait for food and another 30 minute wait for our bill. And yet another 20 min wait just to pay - we finally gave up and went in search of sever with Debit machine. If you actually cleaned the outdoor tables occasionally (so much dried and leftover spills and food) we may not have been co stay my swarmed by wasps. And lastly please do something about the giant, jagged exposed screws on your outdoor tables. Got a massive bleeding scrap...
Read moreOur last time giving this place a chance. The first time we ordered (a while back) it took 3.5 hours to deliver. They lost our order, lied over and over again saying it was cooked and out. Brutal. Last night we decided to give them another try, called at 4...same deal no order in sight. I had 10 ppl sitting around waiting. Service is awful...no one cares. Finally when the driver arrives I let the girl know on the phone and she slams the phone down without an apology or anything. Pizza was just okay...not worth a two hour wait on a Wednesday night.
I'm sad to see another local restaurant just let customer service go down the tubes like the big box companies.
I'm sure it doesn't matter b/c y'all have made it clear but you lost our entire...
