Jimmy's — Restaurant in South Stormont

I’m not one to leave bad reviews, i usually post reviews when I like a place but I felt I had to leave a review for this place. The restaurant is dirty and hasn’t been cleaned in a long time (especially the washrooms). It feels gross just to sit in. The food was very bad on all fronts for all plates: Pogos tasted like boxed pogos that had been once cooked and then reheated in the microwave, fries were pasty and must have been sitting there all day before being served, gravy was cold, burger bun was stale and burger had a strange after taste. Service was very bad as well; it’s just a job and they seemed confused about the menu even though it has not changed in what appears to be a long time. This place gave up on trying a long time ago by the looks of it and should be featured on a show like “Kitchen Nightmares”. I don’t understand how a place like this can...

2023: So, I was in Ottawa Sept 13th and we went to Jimmys for breakfast before heading home. I was hoping to raise the stars. Well the service was better, but the food was terrible. My hubbys toast was burnt after asking for extra butter and my eggs were dry and the yoast had a wee bit of butter in the middle. Next years visit I'm hoping the group votes for a different restaurant. 2022:Food was good, but as we were waiting for our bill a waitress,(not our waitress), came over and asked us if we were leaving because they needed the table. It's not like we had been sitting there for an hour. I worked restaurant off and on for 47 years so. Please don't tell me I have no idea...

My husband and I have been going to Jimmy's for a couple of years now with a group of others, once a week. We all seem to enjoy your breakfast or lunch, including my husband and I. We not only enjoy the food, but their is always lots of it and the prices are fantastic. Can't say much for the washrooms though. Never update by the looks of it and the building is quite old. Recently my husband was turned off by what he saw. The cook (Keven) was on the cash, and handling money of course. Then returned to the kitchen, opened up a package of bacon lifted it up with his bare hands. As much as we enjoy this restaurant, we sure hope this situation...
