We were initially really excited to try this restaurant as we seen rave reviews on Instagram but it was one of the worst experiences and made a bad start to our day.

We lined up and was told it would be an hour and 15 minute wait which we said we would do. The hostess advised us that 2 people needed to be in the line always which was ridiculous. Why couldn't 1 person wait or have a service where they text you when your table is ready?

We went to go grab coffees in the cart while we waited. The girl making the coffees seemed like she was on another planet. It took 15 minutes to make 3 cappuccinos. At one point she told us to wait while she had a pointless conversation with her colleague who came to visit her from the restaurant before she served some of us. There was no speed or urgency whatsoever.

We eventually got seated on the grass at a bench that we noticed was free the whole time we were queuing. We queried these empty benches while we were queuing and the hostess said people were going to be seated there. The whole time we could of been sitting at this table even while we waited to be seated. It was such a waste of everyone's time and available space!

We were brought to the bench in the grass and asked to be moved as we were being ignored and felt that we were being forgotten about being sat away from everyone else. We had to go upstairs and ask the hostess to move and she blankly stared at us and said 'she would see what she could do' but left us waiting for about 10 minutes. We ended up getting up and moving seats ourselves.

We went to order food, and one of my friends asked to substitute haloumi with bacon as she cannot eat dairy. Bacon was a cheaper side on the menu than halloumi so this shouldn't of been a problem. The waiter didn't ask for bacon and just gave her a plate with no halloumi. How can such a small request be so hard? he said the kitchen don't usually like doing that. Who is your restaurant trying to please, the chefs or their customers? We felt that the server didn't even try fulfill the request.

When we received our food, I requested butter for my toast. At the end when we got our bill, I seen I was charged $1.50 each for 2 portions of butter. $3 total even though I only asked for one. Butter is a standard thing to serve with the toast so why was I charged? Let alone the butter I received looked curdled as per the photo below. How would you expect anybody to pay for that?

We did not leave a tip and the waiter pointed that out to us. We explained the issues to him and advised our concerns and he agreed. Very disappointing. Staff need to be trained and move a little faster.

Food was mediocre. It said I was getting hash browns but I just got small baby potatoes. All options only with eggs, no lunch served as such. Restaurant needs to broaden its meal choices. I hope you take this feedback on. Won't be returning or...

This all-day breakfast café offers more than just food—it delivers a relaxing, scenic atmosphere that makes it a great spot to unwind. The café spans two levels: the upper level is an indoor dining area with cozy seating and a warm, casual ambiance, while the lower level is a covered, open-air space with no windows or walls. Despite being sheltered by the upper floor, it feels airy and connected to the outdoors, making it a pleasant alternative for those who prefer an alfresco dining vibe without full sun exposure.

Just outside the café is a beautifully landscaped garden with benches where guests can sit and linger. A short walk beyond the garden leads to a tranquil riverside, where families, couples, and solo visitors alike can dip their feet in the water or simply relax and take in the peaceful surroundings. The natural setting adds a lot of charm and makes this café feel like a hidden gem—especially on a sunny day.

We ordered a variety of classic breakfast items, including eggs Benedict, a breakfast burger, and the sausage and eggs plate. Each dish was served with a choice of crispy French fries or golden fried potato wedges. While the presentation was appealing and the portions generous, the flavor was somewhat inconsistent. The fries, wedges, and burger patties were noticeably too salty, which slightly detracted from the overall enjoyment of the meal. The eggs Benedict and sausage, however, were well-prepared and satisfying.

What truly stood out were the beverages. We ordered a cappuccino, a green tea latte, and a cold brew coffee—all of which were perfectly made. The cappuccino had a rich aroma and creamy foam, the green tea latte was smooth with a delicate matcha flavor, and the cold brew was refreshing with a clean finish. Clearly, attention is paid to the quality of their coffee and drinks, which may be the real highlight of the menu.

Prices are a bit on the higher side, especially considering the food was good but not exceptional. That said, the setting, the spacious and thoughtfully designed layout, and the serene riverside location offer a dining experience that goes beyond the meal itself. It’s a great place to catch up with friends, enjoy a quiet solo coffee, or simply soak up a peaceful morning or afternoon in a beautiful outdoor environment.

In short, we left feeling that while the food had room for improvement, the overall experience—especially the drinks and the lovely surroundings—made the visit worthwhile. We’d definitely return, perhaps more for the coffee and ambiance than for the...

Terrible experience. This place was recommended by a local, and we were really looking forward to dining here. The location is undeniably beautiful — right by the campground and the water, which added to the excitement. We waited over an hour, but thanks to the nice weather and available benches, the wait felt manageable.

When it was finally our turn, we were seated but things quickly went downhill. I noticed an empty table right by the water and asked if we could be seated there. I was told it was reserved for parties of six (we had four). Fair enough until five minutes later, another group of four was seated there.

When I tried to get the waitress’s attention with a smile and said we were ready to order, she looked directly at me and said, "Well, I’m here, aren’t I?" in a tone that was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. We asked what’s the chef’s special and what’s good on the menu, she looked at us and shrugged, said “everything is good. I get asked that question everyday, pick anything”, we felt taken a back. Never have I ever gotten that kind of response when asked that question. We looked back at the menu and after 1 second she said let me give you guys some more time without asking us.

The service we received felt noticeably different compared to other tables around us. When we politely asked about a sold-out item and possible substitutions, the waitress responded in a condescending and demeaning tone. We were respectful throughout, so the treatment felt especially jarring. The only clear difference between us and the surrounding tables was our race, we are a group of Chinese guests, and I speak fluent English.

As for the food, We ordered the The Coastal Benedict which was really good, Smoked Duck Cassoulet which sold out of the duck, 2 BBQ Asado Hash, and one of the Asado had dry, tough meat that was hard to chew. When we mentioned it, the supervisor came over to ask about it. After we explained, she simply said, "Interesting," in a way that suggested we didn’t know what we were talking about. Eventually, they replaced the dish, which we appreciated, but the overall tone and attitude we experienced throughout the evening made it incredibly uncomfortable. This type of service was completely uncalled for. While the scenery is stunning and ambiance of the place was cozy, the way we were treated overshadowed...
