Country Market — Restaurant in St. George

In my search of a good cup of coffee, I ventured into the Country Market and found that I had travelled back in time to my childhood. I grew up a long way from St. George but some things are universal. Ever since that first visit, I always rely on the Country Market to have hot, fresh coffee ready brewed from local beans from Java Moose out of Saint John.

After finding this little gem, I have experienced just about everything the local bakery can offer from the obvious baked goods and pies, to freshly made sandwiches with your choice of fixings and the excellent selection of candies that remind me of a time when corner stores sold penny candies in jars behind the counter, just like at the Country Market.

Their frozen, prepared meals are always delicious and there is usually soup, or in my case dog, bones in the freezer. And, if not, just ask and the friendly staff will get them from the back. I am forgetting so many reasons for why I love this little store on Main Street in St. George. Amazing country store for baked goods such as bread, rolls, pies, cookies, sweets, candies, frozen meat. They also have fresh sandwiches made to order and soups of the day. Highly recommended for a quick lunch to-go or to pick up stuff to bring home like cookies or raw baking ingredients. Really awesome place. The staff are always helpful...

This is an amazing store like the general stores of old, with all the modern selections.
