Golden Dragon — Restaurant in St. Thomas

NEVER AGAIN! I cannot believe the horrendous customer service we received. One of the dishes we ordered was sweet and sour chicken balls, however, upon opening the bag we discovered they didn't include the sweet and sour sauce. We called the restaurant and asked them to bring us some but they said they were too busy and would give us a credit next time. I declined and asked again that they send the sauce. They said we would have to wait 45 minutes to an hour for the delivery. I said our food would be cold by then and asked if they could get it out quicker. The person on the phone proceeded to YELL at me about how busy they were and then hung up. They eventually showed up with the sauce but everything was cold by then. There was no apology...nothing. I would have expected a complimentary dish or a discount for next time given the hassle they gave us, not to mention the yelling...who does that??? It was their mistake, we were reasonable and then we got attacked. On top of that, the food was poor quality. The chicken balls had very little meat in them, the "crispy" beef was mushy and the noodles were way too salty....

I visited Golden Dragon on Elm Street for dinner recently and found it worth five stars. It’s in a typical strip mall and the place was very clean. The menu covers standard Chinese food options. What we ordered came out hot, with good portion sizes that left us with leftovers. The flavours were solid, and everything seemed fresh. The meal for four people cost around $60, which felt reasonable for the amount of food. The staff was polite and kept things moving. Our order was timely, and they checked on us a couple of times. No issues with the service. They offer takeout and delivery, which seems convenient for most customers. Compared to other places in St. Thomas, this one stands out for being consistent and reliable. Never again! 10 minutes shy of 2 hour wait, food was cold, shrimp all batter, not very tasty. The dinner for 5 was honestly the same amount as dinner for 2. (I've ordered dinner for 2 from here) With the exception of an extra rice!? Too bad I can't upload a photo of what I received, what a joke and I payed $76! My phone call asking where the rest of the food was ended in my hanging up so frustrated with customer service not met being repeatedly asked "what do you want from us" awful customer service! Lost my support and will not recommend....
