So I literally had to delete my long review from 7 years ago and it wasn't a good one. I'm surprised I couldn't just post a new review. Anyways the last time I was at St Thomas Swiss Chalet it wasn't a great experience with our waitress and food and the manager that worked there at the time didn't know how to handle customers or direct their staff that we didn't go back. I have heard from many friends and posts the new management took over and it was good. So my husband and myself decided today to give this location another chance and I will say we were very happy and enjoyed our meal and we will be back again. Our server Sinu was very welcoming and friendly. He took us to our table and was very quick on asking what beverages we would like and also suggested some wine, which we just ordered water and diet Pepsi. He took our order once he saw we were ready. My husband and myself ordered hot chicken sandwich which came with two choices of sides. I choose fries and ceasar salad and my husband choose fries and garlic green beans. Sinu brought my ceasar salad to start which was delicious. Then our hot chicken sandwich came and I couldn't believe the amount of food that was on our plate and you could see the hot steam. It was lovely and hot . We really enjoyed our meals. Sinu came back and asked if everything was okay and if we needed anything else and my husband told him the last time we were here the service and food wasn't good but today was fantastic and we will be coming back and Sinu thanked us and was glad we enjoyed everything . I want all staff and management to give themselves a pat on the shoulder because the atmosphere was clean and welcoming. The service was excellent and to the cooks, our food was hot and delicious. Read moreWe were there for lunch arriving at 12:30 about 10 minutes later another table came in. They ordered basically the same meal that we did and yet ours took over an hour to arrive there’s took minutes. The server was giving excuses, but he is not the fault. The fault lies in the kitchen the management whoever chooses whatgoes on. I don’t understand why the other table got their food almost immediately, which was the same order as ours and yet we had to wait for over an hour. Offering us a cup of soup, which was mostly macaroni just didn’t help the situation. I noticed there was another couple who waited equally as long as we did for their food. When you’re ordering the chicken meals, why is it? They don’t give you a side plate to put your bones on? They cram everything onto the smallest plate that they can and you’re supposed to figure out how to manage everything. The tables are not wiped with a cloth. They are wiped with the servers hand just brushing the crumbs off not very sanitary. It’s been a long time since I’ve been in there and I really do feel it’s going to be a long time again before I return to the Swiss Chalet. We were not able to leave until 2 o’clock. I think that’s a bit outrageous to walk in at 12:30 and not be ready to go until 2 o’clock when the biggest holdup is the Arrival of your plate of food. Read moreI’ve heard a lot of good things of this Swiss chalet since it changed owners but tonight was a horrible experience. The food was good but the service was awful. First of all we got seated and had to wait 30 minutes to place just our drink order. At which point we were also ready to place our meal order as well. While we waited for the food the drinks finally came out and my drink was not correct and my moms tea cup was clearly not washed. It had tea stains all on the inside of the cup and the handle had left over residue of food. We let them know and got a new clean cup. It took another 20-30 minutes for our food to finally make it out at which point the forgot the appetizer that we had placed and brought it out 10 minutes after we got our entrees. Also my mom ordered the chicken darn meat mean white rock wand gave her fries. I spoke up for her and all they said was “they ran out of rice.” Th eh didn’t let us know that until I said something about it. Anyways we eat the mean and we haven’t got asked if the meal was okay from the waitress or if we needed anything else. Also not to mention we also were not given any utensils and had to ask for them. Once we finished our meals we ordered desert because there was only two tables left in the restaurant and it came out correct but my goodness the service that we received was not so great tonight.
