What an interesting place and the food is great. The owner has the world's largest collection of toasters. Also many other amazing early appliances. Restaurant is decorated with these antiques. The breakfast special today was the Pacific and consisted of English muffin topped with Florentine sauce, smoked salmon and fried egg. Amazing. Fried potatoes on the side. We also tried the two egg breakfast with homemade sausage, potatoes and toast. Sausage was to die for. Toast was served with homemade strawberry preserves. This establishment is also a bakery, and we walked away with an Eccles cake and piece of blueberry coffeecake.

If you can manage to get in for dinner (reserve ny phone at least a couple of days in advance), you’re in for a treat. There is a chef from Mexico that is currently managing the dinner service and what we had was incredible, definitely on par with Mexican cuisine from a major city like Edmonton, Calgary or Vancouver. The baja fish tacos I had were some of the best I’ve ever tried, which I never expected to get in Stewart (especially since there’s only really two restaurants in town). The resident chickens are very cute!

What, a fine dining Mexican restaurant in an isolated city of 500? And you need a reservation to dine in? This was unusual so we had to come try. This place is amazing! We loved it so much, we came two days in a row. Every dish was made with fresh ingredients. Seafood was cooked perfectly. All plates were beautiful. Service was great. The only downside to sitting outside were the no see ums and mosquitos. Second night we came with citronella oil and they avoided us.

Coming from Southern California, I know good quality Latin food when I taste it, and this was fantastic!. A family run business, and authentic approach to Latin food so far away from their origins, it was like a dream to taste familiar flavors.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Seating available inside and outside. The decor is fascinating to view, as you peer through the history of museum like displays of toasters from antiques to almost bizarre models. The intriguing wonders allow you time to entertain yourself while you wait for your food.

Because everything is made to order, this is no fast food dinner. Expect a decent wait for good.

Ordered the prawn tacos: 4 tacos served with a house made space, on home made tortillas with melted cheese, pico, and cilantro.

Also ordered the Mahi Mahi Ceviche, solid chunks of Mahi Mahi in a delicious sauce also topped with fresh pico and cilantro. Served with organic corn chips.

They make a few drinks that will peek your interest. I ordered the Sangria. Smooth blend of Merlot, Lemonade, Ginger and Gin.

I'll definitely stop by when next, I...

As a family with a lot of allergies, we're always cautious about new restaurants. However, the owner takes great pride in his work and took our restrictions very seriously, resulting in an excellent meal. Yes, it takes time for the food to come out, but as it warns on the menu itself, they make everything from scratch, so please be patient. If you want fast food, you're in the wrong place.

Prices are quite reasonable given the care and ingredients that go into the food. The baked brie is amazing and I would love to have it for every meal. I don't remember the last time I saw my sister in a food coma I didn't put her into. 10/10,...
