I just picked up Dudes famous donuts from their newer coffee house located on Crescent Road. THEY ARE SPECTACULAR! They had 5 varieties, Chai glazed, Coconut Cream, Chocolate Cherry Bomb(may have name wrong), one with walnuts and glaze(can't remember the name but amazing) and their namesake Dude's Donut with a whiskey glaze! The are substantial in size, heavily filled, fresh and delicious. I follow them on Instagram, so showed up early(7am when they open) for the donuts but they bring from another location, so arrived at 8, so worth the wait. Thank you to the staff and the manager(I'm sorry I didn't get your name, I should have asked) for being so generous. I understand their original coffee shop will be turned into a donut shop where you put together your own donut, choose the glaze and toppings, how much fun is that! Will definitely be back for the donuts(they have so much more than donuts) and fabulous service....
Read moreSo Disappointed...We saw this place just driving by, it looked like a decent place. We were looking for a hot drink and a pastry on a cool wet day. Unfortunately the pastries on display were obviously purchased from Costco. We decided to just order drinks. My tea was served in a paper cup and was just warm... Just like the diet coke my wife ordered warm. We noticed the table next to us had muffins and complaining they were so dry. They threw most of them out when leaving. Just then another customer came back with a cookie he purchased an said it was hard a a rock. They offered him another selection but everything was stale. He took a pre packaged item. Before he left I asked him about the place and he mentioned it was much better before and thought the regular baker has been away for some time. We are in the area for a couple of months and won't be...
Read moreMy new favorite coffee shop in Surrey. It's a bit of a drive for me but worth it in my opinion. Here's why: The lattes I've had here consistently amazing. The espresso is smooth part of it is smooth with no bitterness. The milk foam has just the perfect amount of sweetness to balance rhe coffee. What's sneakily the best thing here and something I HIGHLY recommend are the butter truffle croissants. Easily some of the best croissants I've had in Metro Vancouver in terms of taste. The truffle really shines through, especially when you eat it warm. Texture wise they're right up there too with a flaky exterior and chewy interior. I also tried the Ukrainian Honey Cake which was outstanding. It wasn't too sweet (surprisingly) and was very moist. Not sure if it's a regular menu item but I recommend it if they have it and if you like honey...
