I worked at this location for a few months and the experience was something I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through. New policy was added where they could call us when we weren’t scheduled to work and we couldn’t refuse to go in and work, if we refused or said we were unable our job would then be in jeopardy. Also the management treated the high school employees like employees of a government office and expected the same type of performance from them. A supervisor would talk bad behind employees backs to other employees thinking the word wouldn’t go around, I was victim of this when I heard from my friend that one supervisor had told my friend he would beat me up if I showed up with the wrong attitude one day, i don’t think people should be threatened around their workplace at any time. An overall unpleasant environment for both employees and customers, it’s worth the 10-20 min drive to another...
Read moreI feel like the fundamental problem with Subway is that its previous success, 10-15 years ago, helped drive turnover of ingredients and kept them fresh. Which was the main thing which made all Subway locations good.
Now that the brand has declined in popularity, the ingredients sit too long in the case. The tomato no longer tastes or looks freshly sliced. It looks like it's been sitting out for many hours.
My wife has had to point out moldy ingredients in the case, to the staff at the Dorchester location. They removed and threw out the ingredients, and were appropriately bothered by it. But if the ingredients were still "fresh" as the brand name once promised, that wouldn't be possible.
They need shallower containers in their case, so the ingredients can be replaced by freshly cut produce multiple times a day, and then it would...
Read moreThe staff are nice enough, the location is always clean, but they tend to stack the chairs and wash the floors at 7pm when they are listed as being open until 10. One thing that will make me not come back is the fact that no matter what time I come, the bread is NEVER fresh. They have a cabinet full of bread at 5pm on a Tuesday, and all of it seems like it was baked the day before. Very disappointing as the bread makes or breaks the sandwich and it’s not cheap anymore. Almost $15 just for a 12- inch sub, no combo. Also, the employees need to wash their hands before putting on a new set of gloves, especially when they come from the back and were doing god knows what. Your dirty hands just made the gloves dirty. I’ll drive into the city to get a...
