When for the buffet today and was super disappointed by how much it’s declined since it’s apparent new ownership. More than half the trays were empty and when they were replenished they only added a small amount instead of filling them. The food wasn’t fresh either all the deep fried options (chicken balls, wontons, spring rolls, onion rings etc.) were stale, cold, and hard as a rock like they’d been sitting out all day. The other dishes seemed like they’d been refried or something. The building itself is looking really run down and shabby inside now too. Also, I noticed the girls at the back making the wontons right in front of the bathrooms and one of the coughed right above them a few times. We were charged $80 for two adults and one kid and the food we were served was nowhere near the quality that would justify such prices.. this place was one of my favourites growing up and I was disappointed to see it run into the ground like this. There was a for sale sign on the door so hopefully the next owners will have some pride...

I was pleasantly surprised with our meal and takeout experience at the Golden Dragon. It's my first time ordering from here and it won't be my last. For a start they actually pick up the phone here, you don't have to call 15 times. The wait time is reasonable and was accurate to the minute. No trouble picking up the meal at the restaurant either, I called and they came out immediately with my food. Now for the food: it was very tasty and still hot when I got home. We had egg rolls, chicken fried rice, chicken chop suey, chicken balls, S&S shrimp, Hunan beef and General Tao. Everything was great especially the last three items I listed. I will try more items next time. On top of everything, this place looks clean and maintained unlike some of the other places I ordered from before. DO NOT order from these asshats. We called 15 mins to close and ordered a few dishes. When it got here you could smell it. Opening the dishes the food looked great but the peppers were burned black and that taste and smell was in everything! Every bite tasted burned and bottom of the pot burnt. He began to yell and scream and proceeded to hang up on me twice, calling me names and telling me I was a liar. All I asked was that our meal be replaced. Wasn’t mad just wanted our food , we even kept the food to send back so they could see. He was so unprofessional and hung up on me again. To have his other worker answer and forced her to hang up on me. Imagine if there were people in his restaurant at that time and heard him talk to me this way.
