We had our wedding at The Post Taphouse, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we stepped into the venue, we knew it was the perfect place to celebrate with our loved ones.
Atmosphere: The vibe is warm, intimate, and beautifully rooted in Newfoundland culture. The way they incorporate local character into the space is truly special—it felt like home, but elevated. And the view from the balcony? STUNNING. It gave our ceremony and photos the most breathtaking backdrop.
Service: 12/10. The staff went above and beyond in every way. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. Their professionalism and warmth made everything feel seamless, and our guests were blown away by the level of service.
Food & Drink: We chose salmon and chicken for our mains—both were absolutely delicious. The desserts were bread pudding and cheesecake, and I’m still dreaming of that bread pudding! The drinks were just as impressive. Even with a beer cooler mishap the week before the wedding, they ensured we had everything we needed. They even brought in ingredients to create our family’s signature drink and provided bottled beer for guests who didn’t prefer draught. Their flexibility and thoughtfulness did not go unnoticed.
Final Thoughts: The Post Taphouse gave us a wedding day we’ll never forget. It was meaningful, joyful, and full of heart—thanks to a venue that truly understands how to create a celebration that feels personal and unforgettable. We couldn’t...
Read moreWent there for late afternoon, the parking isn't the best and we almost got blocked in by someone who didn't want to walk from their alternate parking and parked where they shouldn't have.
Anyway, we ordered drinks, an app each, and a main each. For apps my brother got the calamari, my mother had the chowder and I ordered the cod bites. I only tried the cod bites, they were piping hot and well seasoned, light batter and a delicious sauce with it. For mains my brother and myself both ordered their smash burger while my mother had the Greek salad with chicken. I changed my fries to an onion rings, that was a bad idea. I'm guessing they didn't make them, the batter was overcooked and overwhelmed the onion inside. I'm a huge fan of onion rings but these were some of the worst I had. Now as for the smash burger, it was well prepared and delicious.
Overall the atmosphere and view were fantastic, the servers were friendly, fast, and checked on us at appropriate times. Other than the rings, the food was pretty good, I would...
Read more5 stars for the view alone! Spent a few gorgeous afternoons out on this deck over the past month.
Highly recommend the fishburger, smashburger, seafood chowder and the Post fries!! We loved that the chowder had a very flavourful broth, but wasn't too heavy and thick.
We were super disappointed w the appetizers we tried - calamari, codbites and scallops - but just avoided those in subsequent visits. Also has an amazing dessert one day...they called in 'Newfie something' - can't remember full nane but it was good!!
Server Jasmine really stood out on one visit - really great service from her that day!
PLEASE - Post Taphouse - no more with the tacky, single use plastic holders for ketchup, etc. No no no. So wrong for the environment. We saw two go flying off the deck in the wind one day. How many hundreds are littering the land and ocean from your deck?? Please invest in reusables!!! More responsible and much nicer...
