Disappointing First — and Last — Online Order -Kingston Virtual Kitchen- Hero Certified Burgers
I tried Hero Certified Burgers through Uber Eats, for the first time and deeply regretted it.
I ordered online two of their "Two-for-One Signature Burgers" and one "Smash" Burger — yet all five were identical: overcooked, dry, grey hockey pucks masquerading as patties. There was absolutely nothing to distinguish the so-called smash burger, and despite leaving a specific note with regards to garnish, all five were topped the same way.
Each burger came with the same uninspired construction: a bottom bun, a slice of cheese, a dry brick of meat, some sort of mystery sauce diluted with sweet relish, a limp, flavourless slice of tomato, and a top bun with what I assume were supposed to be toasted sesame seeds — though they were closer to burnt.
The sides were equally disappointing. I ordered fries and onion rings — the rings came with six small pieces. That’s right, six. The fries were tolerable in taste, but nowhere near worth the outrageous price tag.
This was my first experience with the Hero Certified Burgers brand — and it will definitely be my last. I should have read the ratings beforehand...not great.
