Boston Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Athabasca

My daughter and I went to the BPs in Athabasca on Saturday evening and was quite disappointed especially since BPs is typically one of our favourite restaurants. First of all, we got there around 9 PM and there were only 2 tables in the dining room and one of them were just leaving and there were about a dozen dirty tables which some of them still had previous customers plates (unfinished meals) that should have been cleared (in my opinion while the customer was still there as this is how I was taught during my serving years). Yes, there could have been a huge rush of customers prior to our arrival but from what I saw, I'm unsure. The carpets looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in a while either. Again, it was late in the evening and I'm sure this may have been the results of being busy during the day, but don't they have carpet sweepers to use for these events?

I ordered the beet and peach salad and it came out incorrect. First of all, there was no goat cheese on it and when I asked the server about this, she told me that it didn't come with cheese so I grabbed a menu to show her that it did. I also ordered a GRILLED shrimp skewer to go with the salad and it came out stone cold. When I brought this to the servers attention, she touched them and agreed. The skewers were replaced but weren't much better. I did get a side bowl of goat cheese to add to my salad once the server agreed with me about it missing. The salad came out a mess and because I order this salad on a regular basis at other locations, I felt that the lettuce was going rotten, the beets weren't cooked, and the peaches weren't sweet and the pecans were definitely weren't "candies" as the menu suggests. It was a complete mess.

When I was an employee at BPs in Yellowknife (server) sometime ago, we were trained extensively of the menu, the plating of the food, etc. and it is so obvious that the cooks and servers at this location are not trained on the menu.

The manager that night did give me 25% off my bill but I doubt I'll ever go there again due to this experience. I'll continue to go...

So. I will never go to the place every again.. By far the worst boson pizza ever. Ever. First reason.. I phone at 11:55 pm.. Asked what time the closed .. They repied 1am.. Ok that was ok. But second question.. Do you still serve and have everything on the full menu or is there a late hour bar menu.. They said yes they still have and serve the full menu till close. . So after a long hard shift.. Drive 25 minites to get a late supper... Arrived there at 1:20.. Asked for the steak sandwhich .. They pretty much said if we ordered that it would not be good.. Could not get salmon .. Could not get spaggetti. Could not get a baked potato.. Could not get gravy... They said they had threw out everything already . I replied I just phoned in and asked if everything was still avalable... The two servers .. Snickered and said.. Who are you going to complain to and you get what you get. So ended up ordering two pizzas.. And an order of bandara bread.. Asked for the full sized order not the one off the 5 dollar or small happy hour menu with the meat sauce. Recived the food and left . Looked at what we where givin in the truck.. Ended up getting the little ......... and paid Full price and never got meat sauce.. . When I went to go back to say they had got the order wrong.. The door was locked ....knoxked at doors ... Bar tenders.. Would not respond...Knocked on window in resterant side.. Young man vacuming open the door for me .. Kindly.... Very and politely... Confronted..the bar tenders.and they where very rude... Not caring ... Said I was got what i aaked for.... And they would not do anything said that they did it corect. . 90.00 order of the worst service.... Sketchy .. And ... Sad just sad.

Have never had such poor service at any Boston pizza.

Waitress took drink order then hastely took off even though was ready with food order 2. Travelling with 2 young kids it’s important to be efficient.

Kids drink came fast. My drink took forever and really was not worth the price.

Finally took food order Got 2 kids pastas (no sauce) asked for butter and Parmesan shaker on the side And fish tacos (no cilantro)

Food comes. Fish tacos covered in cilantro. At this point not going to send back it’s been forever so picked off. Kids pasta has no butter. No parmesan. So asked for Parmesan. Never comes. Ask 2 more people. Never come waitress finally comes so I ask her again. She finally brings. Asks if I want another drink i say no. She asks if I want water. I say yes please. It never comes. We are hardly checked on. Stacked our own plates waiting for her to come back and clear and get our bill. Another waitress finally noticed us and grabbed plates.

Our waitress finally returns. Asks if we are waiting in deserts. I said no as you Jenny even asked what the kids want. We take the cookies as it will be the quickest out of this disaster. She brings bill. I hate when im hovered over while paying. The small tip I gave was too much but awkward when being watched...
