Wheatons Cider Press Cafe is a well established and beloved cafe in the Annapolis Valley. Located in Berwick, Nova Scotia, just off the highway and the perfect place to stop for travelers looking for a home cooked lunch and yummy baked goods. The food is really thoughtfully prepared, and the menu has a great selection of sandwhiches, breads, soups, pies, and salads. The curried carrot soup, the tuna melt, and the chicken pot pie are my favorite and usually the favorite of those I dine with. Thankfully, they remain on their evolving menu. Definitely leave room for dessert because they offer one of the most extensive dessert menus around. This is especially great if you just want coffee, tea, and a dessert. You will feel like you are in Grandma's kitchen! Our server was truly exceptional! He had his hands full with us and handled it so well. He was charming, friendly, well-mannered, thoughtful, funny, and did a great job serving us! I think my favorite part of dining here is the chance to purchase backed goods or a meal and take it home or shop in the exquisite retail shop just outside the cafe. The smells, the items... it's all very cozy and a great location to get together with friends and family. Loved it.

Want a treat? Visit the cafe, great cup of curry carrot soup and haddock burger today. All home made, including the burger bun here at Wheatons. Then pick up some reading material, or a treasure to complete your visit. Great atmosphere and attendants serving lunch. Or grab a coffee and muffin after 9:30-10 am. Leasurely enjoy the surroundings. This is on the list at least once or twice a month.

What an amazing spot. Right off the highway, so it’s easy to get too. The food is amazing. Home cooked goodness. The baking is also out of this world. So much so that we had to meet the talented baker, Lindsay McBay. 😉 I would highly recommend and will certainly be back.

I am shocked to find out that the management of this company refused to take a reservation for a group of our very honoured @blackwatch veterans stating that they did not feel safe having them in their restaurant. My dad and his fellow comrades served Canadian Armed Forces, United Nations and Black Watch for a large part of their lives. This honourable men and women put their lives on the line only to be rejected by this restaurant. Shame on you and this establishment for the hurt and stress you have caused my family and all the other veterans who have been humiliated by this act of discrimination...

Had lunch here with the inlaws and joked about how this place always made me feel young. I wasn't wrong, but I think the blue-hairs know where the good eats are. We had Monte Cristo sandwiches, carrot soup, the dill pickle soup of the day, cheeseburger pizza and a beef and cheddar wrap that also had hot pepper jelly and chopped walnuts. The service was super, the place was busy and the food was good. I'm a great cook and fussy about food, I appreciated that I ordered a beef and cheddar rap and they surprised me with chopped walnuts...
