McDonald's — Restaurant in Town of Essex

I went to Leamington McDonalds, it is always open 24 hrs so, I stopped to grab a bite just after work about 11 pm. I was very disatisfied with what happened next. I ordered my meal over the speaker and could hear teenagers laughing and goofing off in the background. I ordered my meal went to go pay and I was told they were closed. Sudennly, all the lights turned off in the store and I could see teenagers running around and hiding. I asked the teenager who was maybe 17 years old, it says on the sign your open 24 hours per day, there was no reason it should be closed. I was told by the cashier they had shut off the ovens for the night because they weren't busy then a second teenager came to the window and told me they were closed and shut the window. I had to drive to the next town to get my meal, not only did it cost me extra in fuel, it was ridiculous. Since then I haven't been back to eat something I love, due to lazy teenagers not doing their job and shutting down the whole store without proper notice. I was disgusted with the...

Husband and I were just there and while the food was fine. Ordering it was not that easy, even though we opted to have the young man at the counter take our order. My husband ordered first..then i went next..we each wanted a quarter pounder meal...and then i asked for the fries to be upsized for both...the guy looked at me and asked...you want 2? Like really? Then after that fiasco...we then proceed to find a table...while all the empty tables were cleared off mind you...NONE of them were wiped...and the floor was filthy also. I spotted another young man and politely asked if someone could wipe our table. He did...but while doing so...said...i only make sure nothing is left on the tables...our table wiper left a bit ago...and its really not my job...again...seriously? What happened to...if you see something that needs to be done...DO IT! No pride anymore in any jobs...i will stick to drive thru...its not just this place...most...

I don't like how they added self-serving kiosks.. Especially how if you want to pay cash, you still have to get in line and wait for your turn at the cashier even after ordering from the kiosk. Its like, whats the point? If the car wash in this terrible town can take handbills and coins, why can't McDonald?

God forbid if they kept those two other cash registers and a few part timers to man them during the busy hours. Because why would you want to keep a job when you can have computers do everything?

I'm very aware that its probably not this specific locations decision on adding those kiosks. I'm sure it was an order served from the higher-ups (get it? order served?.. no? whatever) But still, its annoying as all hell. The only thing that should be automated are the drive instructors who work at the Drive Test center in Windsor. Those people...
