Tim Hortons — Restaurant in Town of Mayerthorpe

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND UNBELIEVABLY SLOW. Living in Whitecourt, this place has been my favorite stop for last 3 years every time I drive to Edmonton. Last few months it’s service went negative. 27th Oct 2025 evening around 5:30pm order number 9062. Returning from Edmonton, stopped here for a cold drink. Ordered my Orange Tangerine Lamonade at 5:30pm. Place was empty no pending order inside store before mine. 5:35pm another customer comes in orders a coffee and timbits. 5:45pm two more customers comes in and orders pizza and coffee. still my order was not ready. Three guys who came after me. Received their orders around 5:55pm. To my shock I was still not served with my order. Then I thought it’s enough to wait for a simple drink for 30 minutes where everyone one else who cane after me got their orders. No other order pending except mine. Felt it as DISRESPECTFUL, I requested an employee to cancel my order. 5 employees working and To my surprise no one knew how to cancel order and process refund. I was so FRUSTRATED that decided to go without refund as waited for 7-10 minutes just to get refund but luckily a guy comes in and processes it. 40 minutes of misery for just one drink that to 5 employees working. No busy, enough staff so no excuse there. Top of it no one was interested in apologizing and knowing my reason to cancel order. I am done with this place ans better take my business to the ones in Whitecourt. Looks like Owner doesn’t care nor staff cares. Giving 2 star only because of previous good experience...

Worst Timmy's I've been to,

Went here twice the first time we ordered, we asked how long our food will be as we have already waited close to 10 minutes and nobody else was waiting, the reply was were working on it, its taking longer then it should. All the staff were doing random cleaning jobs, no one asked what we were waiting on, or if we needed help.

Second time we were second in line and waited for 5 minutes and none of the staff seem interested in serving the person in front of us. We tried the ordering machine but you can't select what coffee you want so went back in line and waited another 5 minutes. Same thing as last time instead of helping the customers we can hear the manager to get people to clean the floor.

Both times we have been here the staff have seemed disorganized and we're arguing with each other or grumpy

We realised the order was wrong when we were in the car but didn't want to go back and wait, all of our drinks weren't close to full.

Could also see other people waiting were missing items from there orders, like I said this is the worst Timmy's we've been to, the service and seems like the management is poor.

I hate leaving bad reviews but this place needs to sort it out, higher management should be looking...

Absolutely unacceptable and disgusting behaviour I just witnessed from Tim’s worker towards an elderly gentleman. He was having issues hearing and the one taking order was difficult to understand as he didn’t talk great English or talk clear or slow. This man was ordering a honey cruler and black coffee and couldn’t hear the guy taking order cuz his hearing aids were acting up. I stepped in to repete very LOUD and CLEAR multiple times what the tims worker was saying so he could get his order through. Instead of being patient and understanding this man’s issues with this workers accent and speed of talking he was making this man feel stupid and embarrassed by getting frustrated with him and throwing his hands up. What happened to patience and kindness and gentleness and genuineness and being a server to SERVE the people. I’m so disgusted how “these workers” ( you like minded know what I mean by that) destroy the community and oneness we all used to have, treating each other like neighbour's and family. So sad how in not very much time at all the characteristics Canada used to have has been destroyed by these people.
