Parkview Family Restaurant & Inn — Restaurant in Town of Oxford

The owner is extremely judgemental, and critical. Only rents rooms on his own personal preference even if customer paid, is quiet and caused no trouble. Rooms were very basic the room I rented the toilet didn’t flush properly and the bathroom sink leaked. Each room has been quick cleaned stains on carpet, and floors dirty. I scrubbed the bathroom floors which when I checked in appeared to be a light brown colour after I was done cleaning them they were actually white. Poor quality wall patching done, overall pretty run down for how the owner treats guests. Food is overpriced for the amount yu get. Very good mind yu but cost to quantity is ridiculous besides on thursdays fish and chips night. I have personally given this business over $2000 and the owner made me feel extremely unwanted and unwelcome. Apparently he had concerns about a few things and instead of coming to talk to me he made assumptions and lied saying the room I was in was rented so I needed to check out. I even cleaned my own room and used my own towels. Wouldn’t recommend this...

This is the most hands off motel I've ever been in. The place shuts down at 7 pm and you're on your own till the am. You best be awake when the cleaning staff are there because you get one chance at fresh towels and garbage clean up. It's the most run down place I've stayed in. Breakfast is served till 11 am, however, the restaurant doesn't open till 11 am. The locals say the owner is building a new home so his interests lie there and not the business. I can see it. The motel is a dive, the Norman Bates special. The problem is that the nearest motel besides this one is 26km away and we have family in Oxford. Our room cleaning person was wonderful but you can't buy a smile from the staff in the diner. The place is pathetic and the owner is only interested in the buck. First impressions are everything.
