I gave the manager on staff via phone call after i picked up my order and left, that a visible employee from the cash register, was in the kitchen with their mask under their chin (not covering mouth or nose). While she (the manager) was pleasant enough and handled my complaint well. I did express my discomfort with the restaurant and simply stated due to the lack of consideration for others I would not be returning. This really isn't the problem as to why i am posting this review. While it is still serious concern to public health, i will leave that to the health authorities. The real problem for me why i am making this review is about 10 minutes later I got a call from the restaurant number, I answered it. The man on the other end asked to speak with me, which i said, "this is he". he then asked me what my issue was. I then asked who it was that I was speaking with, as he didn't identify himself. His response was he was the owner of the restaurant, and that my yelling at his wife made her cry. I expressed i never yelled at anyone. He was very rude. So I again expressed my original concern to him at which he said to me that restaurant employees are not required to wear face coverings in the kitchen and that the bylaw officer ate at his establishment on a regular basis and that i had no idea what i was talking about. Earlier when i talked with the female manager I had mentioned about "underlying health issues' and that this situation need to be taken seriously. He then said to me in regard to that comment, that if i have an underlying health condition, that i should stay at home. At this point i just hung up the phone and then proceeded to file the complaints where they should be filed. First reason where it belongs and customer satisfaction here where it belongs. While the food was decent enough the customer service was unsatisfactory. If you eat here don't complain, it seems the customer is always right attitude does not exist.
**not changing anything in original post. my testimony is 100% accurate. responding to owner. I did not address the cashier further in any matter accept that she removed her mask in the kitchen, twice in the few minutes i went there to get my food. if the girl was in tears it was at her own embarrassment for being called out on such a serious matter. I stated i called the manager after leaving the establishment, so I'm not sure how the child would have been affected. I also stated that the lady manager I spoke with was pleasant to deal with and that my problem lied with, and the reason i made the review in the first place, was the male owner calling me later, rude and belligerent telling me i made his wife cry, along with telling me i don't know anything. That's when this whole experience became much more. Who does that? i never yelled at anyone i was disgusted at your lack of respect for the situation we are currently dealing with, and stated that bluntly not kindly but as a matter of fact like, which can be taken as aggressive I suppose. It really is of serious concern. I do take all precautions and sanitize myself and the things i bring into my home which is why i still took your food. But i wont risk myself in the future knowing your less than strict efforts at controlling the spread of this virus in an area of Manitoba, that is close to a very recent hot spot. Also why were there 2 children around 8 years and younger there in the first place? Again signs of not taking the situation serious enough? Should nurses bring there...

Today the food was morbid. Total let down. I was hoping for a real chicken burger like most restaurants to find eating fake meat. The sauce for the mozza sticks looked like red vomit and had zero taste. Had no sauce for my battered mushrooms. Hubby was very disappointed from his supreme poutine fries were nasty. Burnt flavour had no gravy, nothing!! Staff was rude on the phone. Read moreYour high rating is true. Chicken fingers are 100% with the honey dill. Not a tad over cooked. The lady in the front was very nice. I was in a conversation on the phone out in the parking lot and a sweet lady walked out to hand me my food after I ordered. Then the little utensil satchel that was in the bag was so wicked. I dunno I like little things like that. The honey dill portion was absolutely the perfect amount. I find that other restaurants give you so little of it. Coming back for a burg next time.
So I'm back in 2024 now and bought one of your spicy burgers for the first time and it went beyond my standards. Damn great burger. Damn good chicken. Your menu is definitely something to come back for. Very friendly...
