So my wife and I were in Westlock one evening to drop off our RV for some service work and decided we would like to go for a snack and maybe a nightcap. After driving around Westlock a couple of times the only place we could find was out riders. We were just a little peckish and not all that hungry so we decided to try the brisket poutine as all of their brisket and ribs are smoked in house. It was absolutely delicious and plenty for two people. The brisket was as good as I’ve ever had and the fries are house cut and done perfectly with the gravy not being too salty as is the case in some places. We decided that we had to return when we came back in a couple of weeks to pick up our RV. As it was my brother-in-law‘s 75th birthday we decided to invite them from pigeon Lake. I called to make a request would allow us to put up a few balloons and a small banner to help celebrate. I was told that they were holding a function that evening and that they were pretty much sold out, and that they had over 200 pounds of wings to serve but they would see what they could do to accommodate us as there was only four of us. After watching what had to be 20+ platters of wings go by and all of the patrons satisfied we decided that we could finally order as the kitchen was now available. I had the ribs and everyone else had the brisket sliders with the homemade beans and fries. Everything was absolutely delicious and my brother and sister-in-law stated that it was well worth a two hour trip and that they would have to return. Thank you so much outriders for accommodating us and allowing us to celebrate and being so accommodating, friendly and helpful. Having the whole lounge sing happy birthday to my brother-in-law really made his day, you guys are awesome and we will definitely...
Read moreFood: Most of our orders were wrong, food took a long time to get there (despite us being the only table in the restaurant), items came out cold, some people got their appies after their meals came out and we had to ask several times for things such as sour cream or ranch. By the time we got the sauces most of the meal was eaten. Overpriced considering you got a lot of the meal served in single use dishes and cups.
Service: server initially asked someone at the table what alcohol they wanted in their beverage they ordered, and when they served it they asked the customer if it was right, the customer said that the drink was not looking like how they have had it at every other restaurant they went to but said they’d drink it, after having a sip they said they couldn’t and asked for it made the other way they had it (and how it is made on google searches), when asking if the wrong drink could be taken off the bill we were yelled at by some random man playing the slots (hopefully he worked there but who knows). I get that restaurants make their drinks differently- but maybe have a drink menu available to reduce confusion? After this we got the privilege of listening to that man talk about us during the meal to the one other customer who came in and then the woman acted passive aggressively; called someone at our table a “trouble maker” and the “quiet one”. They made a mandatory 18% tip that was not shared or written down prior to the meal.
Atmosphere: Hard to define but when you allow a man to yell at young women customers I would say it’s not overly a respectful, safe atmosphere. People were scared to ask for things to get fixed or changed after that. This was my worst dinning...
Read moreA group of 9 of us came in for dinner and most people ordered drinks. One of us ordered a paralyzer and it was not made correctly. When she asked for it to be re made, a man (presumably the owner) came to the table and berated her, raised his voice and informed her repeatedly that she was wrong, and they are the bartenders and know how to make drinks.
The food was cold, wings tasted freezer burnt. At the end of our meal we were told the brand new server was instructed to add his own 18% tip. Would absolutely...
