Read moreThis particular location has had a great fluctuation in staff quality and availability of food for some years now. Lately, as of a few months preceding the date of this review the staff have been rude and generally unhappy again. The unavailability of menu items is also plaguing this location again.
One of the staff who seems to work the morning shift regularly is very abrupt with customers as if you are disturbing her from her personal time or interrupting her day or something. It takes everything one can muster to not ask her what her problem is. At the end of the order she just blurts out the total and doesn't ask or even tell you to drive forward or anything. The other staff just seem unhappy in general rather than rude.
On at least two occasions they have been completely out of 'Tim Bits' and other times they are out of things like bagels (both the regular kind and specialty ones like cheddar bagels).
This location also seems to give you caffeinated coffee when you specifically ask for decaffeinated and decaf is shown on the screen when ordering. If you are in the store you can monitor which pot they get the coffee from but at the drive-thru you...

Yesterday(Mar 4/14) I sat in the drive through for 9 minutes (with only 2 cars ahead of me) and watched a staff come out, take a sign off the drive through speaker, walk to the back of the building, have a half of smoke and go back in. When I placed my order, it was with the worker who I saw outside. Why didn't/couldn't another staff take my order instead of me sitting there waiting? The usual wait time at this drive through is 6-8 minutes (on a good day). I have sat there for as long as 16 minutes before. A good portion of the time they still don't get the order right, its the wrong amount of cream/sugar or the wrong size or the wrong product altogether. They are slow, unfriendly and the quality of service is pathetic. I think it would be quicker and the service better if I drove to the Castlegar store 32 km away. I think McDonalds will be getting my coffee service...
