Bluez on 2nd Grill pub and Pizza — Restaurant in Unity

Where to start…thought we would give them a chance so we came…into an empty restaurant. There were 3 of us so we decided to share the team platter which stated on the menu choose any 4 bitz and bitez for $48. We choose our 4 items as listed on the menu and my hubby also ordered the donair for 16.99. We waited about 45-50 min for the food to arrive. The food was mediocre. But that wasn’t the main problem. As we went to pay our bill seemed quite high and the poor waitress didn’t even tell me the total. I noticed the total of over $100. I gave them the benefit of the doubt since my daughter was there before we arrived so I thought maybe she had food or something from earlier so I ask for my receipt. To my shock i see on the receipt that they not only charged me extra for some of the food, but an extra $22. So the $48 bluez platter actually cost us $70?! I questioned it to the waitress and all she could do was get my name and phone number for a manager to call me back. I will definitely not be going there again. Horrible way of ripping people off. What a joke. Do not waste your time and money...

We are here for a ball tournament and decided to go for pizza. Food was okay and so was the service was until the power went out. Nobody plans for this to happen, of course, and we were very understanding. After 15 minutes or so, the power came back on and we tried to pay. The machines weren’t ready yet due to the power outage so when the waitress(girl with long black hair) came back passed our table, I asked if we could order another drink while waiting and her response was an absolute rude, “no” since she was counting our seats for her next customers. A few minutes later, she came back and, again, very rudely announced that we could start paying and leave since she had to clean the tables for her next customers. I told her that we had tried to pay but it wasn’t ready yet. SHE SNAPPED at me and with as much sass as she could muster told me that the power went out. It was appalling, honestly. I had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at Bluez on 2nd, I don’t get to go often as I live outside the city but when I do go into town it’s my favourite place! From the moment you walk in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. The food was nothing short of perfection—every dish was bursting with flavor. I highly recommend trying the bruschetta chicken it was out of this world! The ingredients were fresh, and you could tell a lot of care went into every detail.

Service was top-notch; our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and made excellent recommendations. The atmosphere was lively yet comfortable, making it a perfect spot for me and my group,
