We actually planned to visit another restaurant out of town that night and were highly disappointed when we arrived to find a sign saying it was closed for catering! We actually avoided Potenza's due to the low ratings! So in the end we went and we were NOT disappointed. Glad we didn't listen to the ratings. It was a busy Saturday night and a wonderful experience in every way. The patio was crowded but had a great vibe. Though we didn't want the patio because we had 4 young children with us. We had the entire indoor dining area to ourselves. Our kids loved the lively band and danced the night away. Our waiter was INCREDIBLE. A new young waiter by the name of Markus. He was so friendly, jovial, attentive, and truly cared about us and wanted to make sure we were having a fabulous time - - which we clearly were. And the food... That pizza was incredible! Seriously second to none. Furthermore, I eat a Keto diet and though they have nothing keto on the menu, they catered to me by creating a meal of roast chicken and alfredo sauce! And I know the pizza was amazing because even though I didn't eat the base, the toppings were so gorgeous and thick it was like a pizza on its own without the base! My whole family raved about the food.
Thank you Potenza's for a great time! And Markus wasn't the only great waiter. A couple waitresses found out our daughter was celebrating her 5th birthday and went out of their way to wish her a happy birthday. A great experience! Friendly service, fab food, reasonable prices, fun vibe! We'd go again in...
Read moreDO NOT COME HERE FOR THE FOOD! Absolutely terrible. Probably one of the worst experiences I have had. First they make you pay upfront before you have even recieved your food asking for a tip and everything. We had 3 couples and even though we ordered one after each other everyones food came out at different times. The service is nonexistent. 4/6 dishes were still frozen in the middle and the fettuccine alfredo had about 3/4 cup of water at the bottom of it. Nothing was fresh. It is very apparent that everything is frozen and from package. At the price you pay its really disappointing. Even the pizza was awful. The cheese is of such cheap quality that one bite and everything comes off. You pay $4 for a drink that is mostly ice with no refills and watered down at that. Like come on. It cost cents per fountain drink. It is no wonder they make you pay ahead of time because their food and service will make you wish you never stepped into the restaurant, let alone pay $250 for 6 meals. When asked how our meal was, it was honestly insulting. It was clear that nobody was enjoying their food with most plates looking untouched. No compensation or apologizes given. And also worth mentioning, there is NO AC in this place, it feels like a million degrees and outside isn't much better. The patio was covered in webs that the staff only addressed once there were people already out there. I am sorry but if you want to have a patio, keep it clean and dont wait till you are already...
Read moreMy six friends and I went here for my friends 18th bday. Came in, and they didnt even have our reservation, and making the reservation itself was sketchy cause we had to email the owner. Next, the band was setting up and we had to pay a cover charge of 10 dollars for the band. Why are WE paying for the band the restaurant chose to hire. Next after ordering out food from a kiosk, we were sat at our table right in front of the band. The band sounded great, except they were so loud I had to YELL to communicate with my friends and the staff, and the staff had to invade our space to even hear us. Next they came with our drinks which were in plastic cups, and they didnt even ID my friend who got her FIRST alcoholic drink. Then they brought out plates which were greasy woo hoo. Our food was OK, but overpriced cause there weren't free refills even with the cover charge, and my friends salad was just lettuce stems. Finally I got to wait 5 minutes at the front for a take out box, while my 2 other friends had to use their phone flashlights to find the bathroom light switch. Lastly, as I sat back down at our table to wait for the takeout box, our waitress came over and nudged my friend with the take out box instead of placing it on our table or tapping her on the shoulder. She also began cleaning up our table as some of us were still eating. Safe to say we wont forget this, also I'd like to end by saying, I've worked as a...
