Tim Hortons — Restaurant in Val-des-Monts

Best Tim’s experience in Ottawa-Gatineau.

I order ahead and walk-in pick-up. I’m a regular, they’ve never messed up my order.

They’re bilingual, but I like to practice my french.

On this morning, Dec 23 8:30am. The guy behind the counter was efficient, friendly, and in charge of the customers. He served drinks promptly, he actually identified my order as mobile as soon as I went to the counter (rare), and serves me my coffee within seconds (amazing!).

I had a food order. I didn’t wait long even though there was a delay on the eggs, but that just meant that they were hot and fresh! The guy behind the walk-in counter noticed the wait and checked on the order, then delivered it to me promptly. It was probably the best egg and bacon english muffin we have ever ordered! Worth the small wait!

I noticed drive thru was humming, and one of the attendants while waiting on the eggs, pre-prepped to-go bags for future orders. Very efficient!

The atmosphere was friendly, light, and christmassy. There was one girl wearing a cute Santa hat with antlers. There were also some very well designed stockings for sale.

I’ve eaten at Time across Canada and even in the arctic. This is by far the best Tims we’ve ever been too.

The young girls in there were having a party. The girl on the microphone was so cramped up by laughter she couldn't even take my order. Then a young man came on the microphone tooked my order without even apologizing for the young girls. I get that you can get bored if there is no clients and nothing wrong with having fun for passing the time, but when you do have clients, the clients should come first. When I first came up to order it tooked between 3 to 5 minutes before they answered then got to the window it tooked another 5 minutes before someone opened the window gave me my donuts then waited again another 3 min before getting my coffee and no one else was waiting before me or inside but 3 behind me. When my friend passed, he got served immediately but got to the window and waited 5 minutes. It's not the first time I go there and have to wait, but on weekends or evenings,...

Super convenient location! Almost a guaranteed poor experience, though. Employees mostly young teens who lack training, guidance and structure, it is frustrating. From cold coffee, poor interactions, to witnessing one of them being bullied, it’s hard to support this location.
