Restaurant Cal's Pizza — Restaurant in Val-Morin

Read a lot of positive review and decided to check it out. There are 2 places on the location to order, a outdoor window like a drive thru but for take out and sitting outside and one inside. From the outside window you can actually see the kitchen and the guy who cooks ...man is he filthy, absolute no care for hygiene, he is pouring sauce on salad with his finger on the mouth of bottle and then licks that same fingers. Starts cooking souvlaki' picks up meat with the same hand.. no tongs and then goes back to making fries and some salad for other order and does the same thing with sauce again and licks his fingers, but imagine the treatment to different food that he prepares. Anyways it didn't bother me because he wasn't making my pizza, after 50 mins of waiting they slam the pizza on the counter, (they got pissed cause I asked after 30 mins, how much longer will it take? I only asked once that's it) the answer was you will get it when it's ready. Anyways open the box of pizza and it has a puddle of water in the middle, the crust is well done, the toppings are mostly on the 4 slices and the rest are just plain soggy cheese slices.when asked why the water Answer was with a cold blank staring down look that's how it we make it...guess what I got the refund. Simply put ....BAD racist attitude and unhygienic overrated place. Definitely avoid if you are a coloured person. I think the reviews are bought..google...

This pizza is like a pizza that I would make at home but a little better! They put like a small mountain of filling on that pizza and add lots of cheese, same as you would do at home! And, be honest with me, when was the last time you ordered a pizza with bacon on top and got a full strip of bacon?! Not just crumbles but full strips??? Come on! This is amazing! The service was great and fast. If I would leave closer I would definitely go there at least once a week! We saw lots of locals eating there and even some small truck drivers, and that kind of gives a place a stamp of quality, right? If you are just passing on Laurentian Autoroute, I swear it's worth leaving the highway for this place! They do take out and dine in. You can eat inside the place or outside on picnic tables. We only had pizza but I saw lots of happy faces of people having sandwiches too! 100% recommend! And getting one middle size pizza was perfect...

Terrible customer service and rude over the phone. Wouldn’t recommend calling. Hopefully the service is better in the restaurant.

As seen above, my name is Maire not Karen. “Karen” is a slur and not my name. I didn’t mumble anything, I said I don’t have cash but thank you. What you wrote is not the “real version of what happened”. Interestingly, you wrote in the review you don’t take credits cards. I had a debit card which I could’ve used. What you said on the phone is that you only take cash. That isn’t telling the truth. If you changed your tone, it wouldn’t have come off as rude… Let me know if you need anymore clarification. Thank you for the offer and ad hominem attacks but I’ll take my business elsewhere with good...
