Fondue Vancouver (Canada) — Restaurant in Vancouver

BEWARE OF FONDUE VANCOUVER AND ALL THEIR ASSOCIATED COMPANIES!!!!!!

We hired Fondue Vancouver for an event in December 2023 and paid them IN FULL at the time of the event using a credit card on their online platform. However, months later, they falsely claimed that we had not paid the invoice. They refused to discuss the details of the case and despite having a clear record of payment, they escalated the issue to a collections agency, Dixon Commercial Investigators, that began harassing us with non-stop calls, even during non-business hours.

They called me when I was on vacation when specifically I told them that this purchase was made under my husband’s credit card and so if there are issues to contact him directly about it.

We informed the collections agency that:

This claim was completely incorrect — the payment had already been made in person via credit card.

They were chasing the wrong person — I did not hire them; my partner did. Instead of contacting the correct individual, they repeatedly pursued me using incorrect contact details.

They disregarded multiple requests to stop calling me — Despite asking them to email our admin assistant instead, they persisted in calling my personal number.

As a doctor, my phone line must remain available for emergency calls, and I repeatedly asked them to stop calling so that my hospital could reach me at any time. They refused to respect this, creating unnecessary distress and disruption and filling up my voicemail with unnecessary messages.

Their relentless and aggressive calls disrupted my personal life — The threatening and stressful phone calls at odd hours became a serious source of anxiety and distraction, affecting both my work and personal well-being.

They even contacted my parents and family and this situation lasted for more than a year until we decided to just double pay and to retain lawyers to file a lawsuit against them.

This experience was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. A business should keep accurate payment records and resolve disputes directly, rather than resorting to aggressive and misplaced collections tactics over an error on their end.

I DO NOT recommend Fondue Vancouver at all. They are not professional and are not relational in their conduct...

This was an incredible experience. I loved the feeling of hosting in my own home, but Fondue Vancouver is concierge level service--everything came ready and roasted or portioned, it made the experience so easy! It was also a very fun experience as the fondue itself is interactive and since I wasn't cooking, I could really relax and enjoy my dinner guests for once! The cheese blend is absolutely delicious and there wasn't even a little bit of it left at the bottom of the fondue pot at the end of the night.
