Third Beach Concession — Restaurant in Vancouver

FYI This place is open despite Google saying it is temporarily closed! My party ordered chicken strips and fries, a salmon burger, cheeseburger, gelato (mint choc cookie), and a kombucha. Their Kombucha is great! So were the fries and gelato. The burger was okay- no condiments on it for some reason but we had ketchup packets for the fries and were able to make-do. The salmon burger was definitely cooked from frozen (which ordinarily is totally reasonable for a beach concession stand) but when we got back to our beach blanket we discovered it was still frozen inside :/. It also had tartar sauce on it which I personally found unappealing with salmon. Chicken tenders weren’t bad but the serving size was too small for the price. A ton of fries in the box and just 3 super tiny chicken strips. More like long nuggets really. Got more stars than what the taste/quality deserved because how awesome is it to have food service so close to the beach?! So, picture this: it's a gloriously sunny Tuesday afternoon, and I am biking through Stanley Park and stop by this joint for a cheeseburger. I roll in, and it's pretty chill, not too crowded. I place my order and wait, salivating over the idea of a juicy burger after biking an hour.

Time ticks by, and they keep calling out orders for everyone but me. After 20 minutes, I’m starting to wonder if they forgot my order. I ask the lovely brunette behind the counter about my burger, and she sweetly assures me it's coming... even though the grill is empty.

Fast forward 52 minutes, and I’m still burgerless while 30 other people, including a parade of cheeseburger enthusiasts, have come and gone. Finally, I ask for a refund and make my exit.
