What a fantastic addition to the restaurant scene at the River District!! We went there early Enough to take advantage of the terrific happy hour menu. Some restaurants really limit the number of menu items but that is not the case here. Most of the menu is available and discounted which was a wonderful surprise! The restaurant is quite small. Tastefully decorated and makes you feel like you could be in Mexico. It's maybe 24 seats inside and they don't take reservations. So go ahead of time if you're going during peak hours. I wouldn't go with a large group as they'll struggle to accommodate more than 4 people at a table. During the summer though when they can use their patio, it will add another 24 seats easily. Fantastic and extensive drink menu!! And the best part, the TACOS!! I go to Mexico frequently and what they offer is pretty legit and where they do their own spin, they do so very well! The best taco is the Carnitas followed closely by the Fried Chicken taco. The fish and Barbacoa tacos were also yummy. I would order each of them again. The salsa and chips were terrific and worth noting as the chips are made fresh to order and the salsa had some nice heat and acid balance that was a bit different from the norm. Finished the meal with delicious churros, also made fresh to order. The dipping sauce was so good! Portions are generous, particularly the protein which was a wonderful surprise. Also surprising was the speed of food arriving to the table and the extraordinarily warm service by Daniel and his team! I went in with measured expectations given it is a very new restaurant, but they really delivered. It will be a regular thing for us moving forward for sure!

My partner and I had this suddenly crave of Taco and decided to hit this place up without reservations. We got seats by the bar within 10 minutes! Honestly was super surprised as they told us the wait would be closer to 25 minutes. They immediately gave us a bottle of water and cups. The environment is louder than expected, seats were exactly too comfortable ( probably because sitting at the bar and the seat is drill into the floor so no adjustments allowed). We ordered chips and dips (all 3 dips), baja taco, fried chicken taco, sweet corn taco and barbacoa taco. Chips and dips are pretty good, chips came in nicely warmed. Three dips are Pico De Gallo, Guacamole and Charred Eggplant. My favorite of 3 is Pico De Gallo, it has a nice kick to it which I really enjoyed! Did I mention that the chips are refillable! Both guacamole and Charred Eggplant are nicely done as well! My favorite taco is the barbacoa which is beef cheek, it came in piping hot! And the shell is nicely grilled / toasted, so it was really crispy! My next favourite is baja, fish was nicely fried the only down side is the drilling tomato. Sweet corn is a vegetarian taco, with creamy mayo I don't think I enjoy it particularly. As for fried Chicken, it was nicely done but together I find it's no long bite size for the taco 🤣🤣🤣 I would totally go back again for the churro and also drinks as well!

A couple of days before I was near Save-On-Foods and noticed a vibrant cafe opposite to it. I decided to check this place when I have my frnd come over to visit. Being a Muslim the reason to visit the restaurant was to enjoy the vibe and atmosphere as the cafe looked vibrant and cozy. We ordered veg tacos and one kids meal. But the staff’s behavior was unfriendly and racist. Firstly, we were 3 people and ordered 3 meals they still asked us to use only one table which was quite small. My daughter was doing her colorings on the next table but we had to accommodate 3 meals and her coloring stuff on the same table despite the other table being free/available on the left. Then I had some stuff on the couch which the staff really rudely ask me to move. I am very much happy to make space for the new customer on the right table but the way she spoke was extremely rude conveying as if we don’t have the etiquettes to behave in a restaurant. My idea of this restaurant based on its theme was a place where friends can comfortably sit and enjoy some nice talks. But I was completely wrong about it. After we finished we immediately left as we didn’t feel like staying there for long. Now coming on to the food. The food was below average. Mushroom tacos had a weird strong sauce. Cauliflower was okay and kids meals was waste of money.
