This is a dog focused review of Everett Crowley park. Popularity: 5/5 The park has a number of short trails and most of them allow dogs to be off leash (off leash trails are clearly marked on maps in the park and signs). It’s a hugely popular area for off leash dog walking so you will usually come across plenty of other dogs on your walk here. Occasionally it can feel a bit crowded in certain parts of the park where dogs like to play and their owners like to hang around, but the park is large enough that you can always move away to a quieter, less busy area id preferred. If your pup loves meeting and playing with other doggos, then this is the perfect place for them! Activities: 4/5 It’s primarily a park where you can walk your dog off leash but there are also some open areas along the off leash paths that are perfect for a game of fetch. Due to the popularity of the park with dog owners, there is also plenty of opportunity for your dog to meet other dogs and play with them. You can also bike with your dog on the trails. Views: 3/5 This park doesn’t have any impressive views of landscape or natural features but walking through the trails and the forest is beautiful and relaxing. Comfort: 5/5 This is a great park to go for a relaxing walk with your pup. There are also a few spots with benches, large boulders or logs where you can comfortably sit. Safety: 5/5 This is one of the safest places you can take your dog on a off leash walk. It is away and fairly isolated from any roads and there is no dangerous terrain such as steep cliffs. I also have not seen any wildlife that may pose a threat to dogs. Most of the people there are also dog owners so it’s a great place to take your puppy off leash without worrying about them causing any trouble. Accessibility: 5/5 Close to the city and plenty of free parking near the park including a dedicated parking lot and lots of free street parking. Overall this is one of the best parks in Vancouver to take your dog for a relaxing walk. Easily accessible, plenty of other dogs and very safe since most people who use this park are also dog owners. I highly recommend this park to people who are just beginning to introduce off leash hiking to their puppies.

Good for dogs and kids. Smaller trails to walk around in. The park right now is not 'nice' bec it's being rehabilitated. They are planting evergreens now. So there will be loads of wood chips around and areas you will see lots of dead trees. Watch for your dog, they might eat those. BUT if you go to the north part there will be a steeper and smaller downhill path towards the road. Dog park at top with off leash and other trails with leash on. There is a water bowl but no faucet for water. There is marsh that looks like a pond. Lots of ducks when we went there. Don't feed wildlife sign is up. There is mud so be prepared when rain prior cz dogs will want to bathe themselves in it. So far we went around the longest and steepest route..took us 45mins of leisurely strolling, taking lots of pics, talking to ducks, talking to dogs, pics of robins... There is also no parking specifically for the park. You need to park around the area. -1 just bec there it's too small therefore, no washroom or water for your dogs. But it's just a minor detail.

Sorry I am sure it's just me. I come here occasionally if I have plans to go to this area. It had been a long time since our last visit and we went back yesterday with our dogs and I regretted going to this park. I think this park just isn't for me. It's great for trail-walking with your dog, but other than that I felt like there wasn't much at this place. There are lots of trails but not a lot of open areas for dogs to run around chasing each other. Good walks for the dogs but I was really just mindlessly walking lol. There are no water fountains. Although there are water jugs and bowls left by other people (very kind of them to be doing this), but who knows how long has the water been sitting around for and are they still safe to drink? I had to watch for my dogs and stop them from drinking those water. And like others said, no bathroom access 🙁

Trail difficulty: Beginner Trail length: Between 1 and 5 kilometers Between 5 and 10 kilometers Trail terrain: Bark mulch Dirt or gravel Trail elevation gain: Mild Leashing Requirements: Off-leash areas Dog Features: Off-leash trails Size of off-leash area (Parks): Extra Large Other Features (Parks): Running path Washrooms: Flush toilets Park Governance: City, Municipal, Township, etc. Everett Crowley Park is located on East Vancouver's southern slopes. It features a large trail system with a combination of off-leash and on-leash trails. The trails vary in terrain and length. Some are well groomed mulch or gravel while others are more rustic. There is signage to indicate which of the trails are off-leash. The primary trailhead is at the parking lot on Kerr Street but there are other trailheads in the surrounding neighborhoods.

Hard to believe you’re in the middle of one of Canada’s largest cities because it feels like wilderness, with wild deer and other mammals, overgrown trails needing bushwhacking, and open wide gravel trails. There are some steep hills and even a lake, Avalon, where you might see a mythical Lady rise out holding a sword! Beware of the numerous off leash dogs. Off leash is permitted in the wide gravel trails but not on the smaller dirt trails. I was bitten by an off leash dog while running one of the on leash small trails. For that reason, if you go, bring something to defend yourself.
