Incredible chocolates made with cacao sourced from a farmers’ collective in Ecuador. The story behind the owners’ Ecuadorian experiences with the native cacao growers, alone, is worth the drive. But their drinkable and molded chocolates stand on their own in flavor and quality.

Their drinkable chocolate ranges from a liquid chocolate shot, to a coffee served in a chocolate-lined cup topped with whipped cream, to great and soul-warming hot chocolate. Their line of coffee-based drinks include lattes, expresso, etc. And they sell and serve an impressive line of teas as well.

They have a few cafe tables in their charming Island shop where you are surrounded by handmade pottery, chocolate selections and antique chocolate molds. And they even mold lobster-shaped chocolates.

Because of its location in Victoria-by-the-Sea, among the most charming towns on an Island populated with charming towns, it is very popular among tourists and visitors. But this is a treasured favorite of Islanders who bring their children by for a piece of their favorite chocolate, to buy a box of chocolate as a gift or to treat themselves or who just sit with a cup of tea to catch up on PEI news.

Come for the chocolate. Come to hear their story. Come for the friendliness. But come...

This morning we drove from Cavendish, PEI to Victoria by the Sea specifically to make a stop at Island Chocolates. This is our third time to visit PEI and we found this shop during our first visit and we always go back. There’s nothing, and I mean nothing that is as good as their Chocolate Coffee. This is such a spectacular treat and I truly look forward to our next visit.

While there we take extra time to enjoy the artisans shops and stroll the streets of this lovely town. But, it wouldn’t be quite the same without our Chocolate Coffee fix.

Chocolate Coffee instructions: purchase your drink, find a table either inside the shop or out on the deck, sit down, relax a bit and enjoy this wonderful treat. DO NOT STIR...! Just drink and enjoy a bit of chocolate in each and every sip along with a nice chunk of chocolate lying on the bottom as an aperitif to finish off this...

Absolutely lovely little spot! Stopped in with my sister today and shared some yummy chocolates; the Factory coffee is absolutely DIVINE and I'd go broke if I lived closer because I would get it every day. Sipping it while sitting on their deck you can enjoy the homey vibe and with a view right to the water I am very surprised it wasn't busier. Owners are super warm and friendly and run it well. Would highly recommend this to any locals or tourists making a trip to Victoria to...
