I’ve been to a couple of church offshoot cafes. Café du Couvent is by far the most superior. The owners have curated a casual rustic coziness. The large open-door kitchen on the right bustles, bringing forth a buttery aroma. The music is low enough to soothe without disturbing the sense of silence. The staff is attentive and friendly. The food is comparatively cheap. I paid nine dollar and twenty-five cents, for a croissant sandwich filled with impressive amounts of cheese and ham. I was pleasantly surprise with the fruit salad on the side. The cafe is easy to access. The church parking lot is free and right in front of the cafe. Furthermore, although there were no clients with children during my stay, I am certain this cafe is kid friendly. There is a tiny table next to the window. Le poke bowl est tellement savoureux que tu réalises que tu te fais avoir au Yuz* et sushi sh**. La soupe maison te rapelle que tes talents culinaires sont loin d'accoter ceux de ta grand-mère. Le burger te fait regretter instantanément d'avoir déjà penser que ceux du A&* sont bons. Leur gâteaux reine Elizabeth... sérieusement? Mangez pas ça si vous voulez juste un ptit dessert. Vos papilles gustatives vous obligeront à en prendre 2 morceaux. Et l'ambiance chaleureuse qui te tient loin du stress du monde pendant quelques instants...vous sortirez de là avec le regret de devoir retourner dans la réalité.
