Chicken Chef — Restaurant in Virden

I use to love stopping here whenever in Virden. But they must have new managementnow, or something. I will NEVER eat there again. We ordered meals to go, my friend had left to go to another appt. I waited to pick up the food and then was going to go meet her. There were no utensils, salt OR a napkin in the bag. I went back inside to get a fork and napkin so we could eat the coleslaw and was told i couldn't get any unless I PAID for them. Not like we didnt pay enough for the 3 meals we had just ordered. Absolutely rediculous. My wallet was with my friend so I had no cash. Why were we not asked at time of ordering if we needed utensils, of course we would have said we did. Who orders food that requires utensils to eat....and doesn't get any? I have NEVER heard of such a stupid thing EVER. Do they charge you for them doing the dishes when you eat Inside? Who knows? The quality of the food was NOT the same as this chicken chef use to be either, that's for sure. They will never get another penny from me. Worst customer service I have EVER seen. Would NOT recommend this facility...

We were dine in customers and there was a sign on door "pizza special Mondays 5 pm to 8 pm. After being seated, l asked our server about the special, and she responded "I don't know, no one told me". After ordering a medium pizza, another server came and set the whole pizza in front of me. I had to ask for a plate. Upon finishing our meal, we were privileged to listen to our waitress arguing with the adult (manager??) about not getting any of her tips. No bill or follow up came to our table, so I took the pizza pan to the cash with the remaining pizza, asked for a box and told the adult that I had to ask for a plate to eat my meal. The adult informed me they were short plates, and the dishwasher wasn't finished. Really??? Then made the excuse of serving a lot of pizza. No apologies, just an excuse. What was even more disappointing, is that D'Italiano's frozen pizza was an equal comparison. Poor management, poor wait staff, and poor food. Nothing to compare to other Chicken Chef...

Server was miserable to the point it felt awkward. I was up-charged for a chicken thigh well after ordering the three piece dinner. The server returned telling me I had to pay more. The chicken breast was good but the drumstick and the needlessly expensive thigh tasted fishy as if they were made in the same oil used for seafood.
