My husband and I ate here last night for the first time, and I can honestly say that it was one of the, if not the best meals I have ever had. Started with the crab cakes. INCREDIBLE. They were served with a house made tartar sauce and shaved cucumbers, and the combination was perfection. My husband hates..... cucumber, but cleaned his plate. For the meal, I had the Halibut fillet with a lobster risotto. The Halibut was outstanding. Cooked to a perfection. It literally melted in my mouth, and the risotto, omg. My husband had the Halibut cheeks with saffron rice. Dear Lord, help me, lol. Unbelievable flavors. When I thought it could not get any better, I begged the server to tell me the desserts were not homemade, but they are. Dammit.... We shared the chocolate cake and was very disappointed. That I shared...... unreal. The cake was moist, and the icing was not too sweet. It's just perfect. The service was amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable, and sincere. The chef was fantastic, not just for his talent in cooking but for his service. He brought out our food, then checked on our meals. Truly the best in all aspects. It is now our favorite place to eat, and we will back every chance we get. That's all we could talk about on our way home and again this morning when we got up, lol. It was a 40-minute drive for us, but we would drive for 3 hours to go there. Honestly, it's the best place to go. I strongly suggest to everyone to go. I would give this place a 20 out of 10. Thank...

My husband and I finally had the chance to dine together here and after hearing amazing reviews for years, I can finally confirm Wileys goes above and beyond all expectations. We shared the haddock tacos, I had the lobster roll with a ceaser salad, my husband had the current version of the Wileys burger and it was all without a doubt the best of each that weve ever had. We finished things off with house made carrot cake (which was too good for my husband to share with me lol) and skor cheesecake. The cocktails were beautifully made and presented, and the entertainment by Drew Polegato was just as amazing as the food. We had the pleasure of having Stephanie, Beth and Hillary all touch base with us throughout our evening, and each of them were as sweet and attentive as the next. Shane's cooking is absolutely out of this world. You won't find a more talented chef in Nova Scotia. Prices and portions were exactly as you would expect for the amazing quality of food and dining experience that you receive. Reservations are definitely recommended during the summer months, its easy to tell this hidden gem is not as...

Visiting from NE Ohio and staying at Amherst Shore Provincial Park. Staying low key today before starting to head towards home. Decided to visit Pugwash for somewhere to go for a short trip. After there we drove a little farther down the road for a bit. We were looking for somewhere to eat and were heading to Tatamagouche. Looked at Google and saw really good reviews so we turned around. Luckily we were there early, arrived around 4pm. They had reservations from 5:30 onward and were pretty booked up. At 4 we had the place to ourselves. I had the seafood chowder and the crab and haddock cakes. Being in Ohio good seafood is hard to come by but both the cakes and chowder were excellent. He had oysters, chowder and salad. He really liked everything. He had really been wanting oysters and was almost ready to get a second order. Of course we had to get dessert. He said his cheesecake was real good. The chocolate fudge cake was not overly sweet which was good, I thought maybe a little dry, but overall I really liked it. The owner and the young man that helped us were very nice. I’m glad we stopped in. Would...

My first time at Wiley's by the Wharf, and WOW! Amazing food, great service and perfect ambiance. I can't wait to go back already. I would definitely recommend anyone in the whereabouts of Pugwash, Wallace, Tatamagouche, Wentworth to make the trip to dine there. We had the brie as an appetizer to start, it was topped with Kittlisen's NS honey 🍯. Then, Nancy had the lobster 🦞 Mac and cheese 🧀, dad had the slow braised pork belly and PEI potatoes, and I had the Tacos 🌮 two ways. Everything was phenomenal. I also enjoyed a delicious gin and tonic, with Dillon's Rose flavored gin (Stephanie's choice/suggestion). Thank you chef Shane and Stephanie for a great supper and evening out. 😍

Heading home looking for a lunch stop... what a pleasant surprise to find Wiley's! Nothing fancy but quality food at a reasonable price point. The crab and haddock cakes (there were two of them!) were flavourful - loved the salty tartar sauce. The blackened haddock tacos (also too!) were huge and perfectly cooked. Sticky toffee pudding was decadent and a perfect sized dessert for 2 (from a guilt standpoint!). Friendly and efficient service. My only suggestion would be to work on presentation of the food on the plates - add some garnishes to make it look more appetizing. I would definitely recommend a visit if you are passing by!
