as someone who worked at the mount forest coffee culture for a couple years I’m honestly genuinely disappointed when I visit there now with the new staff and management. I was there today and it was baffling how unorganized and honestly untrained the staff were. My single breakfast sandwich took ten minutes, no exaggeration, to make when there was one other customer there. They didn’t have soy milk or any milk alternative brought up from the back for the morning, half of their coffee canisters were empty, and the bottle of avocado was completely 100% brown, when i asked about the colour, the staff grabbed a fresh green one from the fridge, before putting it back and keeping the brown one up front to use. There seems to be no care or passion from any employees and it’s just such a shame to see a staple gem in town turn into a guaranteed disappointment...

I went to this location on July 14th I hadn't eaten anything that day and I ordered chicken bacon ranch wrap and a chiller. I had about half of the first half of the wrap it tasted fine, 20 minutes later I had abdominal cramping and puking for the next 24 hours I was also admitted to the hospital and put on I.V as I couldn't keep any fluids and had nothing in my system to puke up the bad food. I wont be returning and I will continue to follow up.

Edit.. i did puke up what I did have of the wrap however since I hadn't ate anything besides that all day and continued to puke up my fluids. With nothing to get the bacteria out. Also I might add that multiple anti nausea meds were put into my i.v and still didn't work. Worst...

$17 for 4 coffee's is a lot but, to be fair, this is the going rate. It was a surprise to see it in a small town though. The coffee quality has gone down, big time! It was watered down!

After spending $17 on 4 coffee's I thought a request for steamed milk on the side so the kid could pretend he's having a cappuccino would be free. It wasn't. The manager was close by so the cashier called them over to ask how to input the charge. I also told them it was for a kid and if there's a charge I don't want it. They both just looked at me like I had 2 heads.

I hadn't been here in a few years. Pretty sure these are new owners. You feel the difference. It was a nice little spot. Now it feels like a Timmy's. Buy your coffee and hurry up...
