Stopped in for dinner at the Crow's Nest last week and were sorely disappointed. The location is stellar with breathtaking views especially from the outdoor seating. We were greeted at the door upon arrival and told to help ourselves to a table. We went outside and sat at the remaining table available. It was dirty from the previous occupants and we expected it would have been wiped down at some point but it was not. We waited about 15 minutes and no one greeted us or brought out menus. My husband went in and got them for us. Some time later a server appeared and took our drink order which came out fairly quickly but it was just water, iced tea and gingerale. We then ordered 2 orders of the fish and chips and 1 order of mac n cheese. It took close to an hour for those to come to us. We had to request utensils to eat with. The server never returned to ask how the meal was. It was not great. Terrible fries, greasy/soggy fish and over baked mac n cheese. We had to get up and request our bill. With 3 servers on duty and only a few customers in the restaurant there is no reason for the wait and no excuse for the inattention. We were there at sunset and it was beautiful. If you plan on going then be prepared for the bugs. That isn't their fault...just a head's up. We don't mind a relaxed atmosphere, in fact we prefer it but being almost completely ignored for subpar food isn't going to bring us back. We expected a bit more from what is considered a world class golf course/club.

Read moreA classic "golf course restaurant", Clubhouse is a unique style that I haven't seen anywhere else on the Island. On warm days the second-floor patio gives brilliant views of the course and the ocean (which is quite unexpectedly loud), while on stormy days the indoor dining space serves as a refuge. It is an interesting setup - the second floor dining area is half-lounge, half tables, and the kitchen is downstairs.
As far as the food goes, it is typical for any golf restaurant - not amazing but not bad. The coffee is not very...
Read moreGreat place to watch the sunset and have a beer. Overlooks the course with the ocean in the background that is extremely breathtaking. Service, on the other hand, is supppeeer slow. Our food was ok but it’s plain Jane bar food which you don’t expect for a top tier golf course, even bar food could be done well that shows the quality ingredients of PEI and the course itself. Also, the mosquitoes can get hectic so wear bug spray if you plan on staying past sunset! Waitress was kind and...
