The toppings are also unique with a premium pepperoni that offers a smoked and garlic forward taste. The cheese is generous and tasty. The crust holds this back from being better.

Crust: 6.5 / 10 Medium-thick, with a cracker like consistency. It lacks flavour and can struggle to hold up to the toppings.

Sauce: 8 / 10 The unique brown sauce is more tangy than spicy, with a hint of sweetness. It is the highlight of the pie and truly showcases the Pictou County style of pizza.

Cheese: 7.5 / 10 Tasty and very generous amount on each pie. The weight of the cheese and toppings is a bit much for the crust, which flops at the end and can cause the top to slide off.

Toppings: 7.5 / 10 The local pepperoni is smokey and has a garlic flavour. It's thicker cut and you get a generous amount. It's different than your standard pizza pepperoni profile in terms of taste and texture, as it doesn't char due to the thickness, but it's a very nice surprise in terms of flavour.

I often drive up from Truro for a feed of pizza here, the food is A-1 and I mean that when I say im a bit of a food connoisseur and very picky about my pizza quality, this is the best pizza this side of Italy, always lots of meat, fresh ingredients, if you've never had pizza from New Glasgow before your in for a treat as its not the typical tomato based garbage they call sauce in the rest of the country that they slap on from a can, its authentic home made sauce with spices and herbs with a bit of a kick to it.. amazing. My wife and I stopped there for supper, first off the server never brought my tea, had to ask for it again. We waited an hour for two hot chicken sandwiches. My wife's fries were over cooked, the vegetables on our plates looked like they were freezer burnt then microwaved. But the worst part was the gravy had so much pepper in it you couldn't eat it. The first bite made me gag, I seriously tried to eat it as I was so hungry, got about three bites in and gave up. This was our second attempt at eating here, the first time was no better but we hoped it was just an off day, apparently not just a terrible place to eat, we wont...
