Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Westville

On first site the place is quite dirty. Its a combined facility so not sure who is responsible. Garbage piled up, generally dirty doorways and floors

We did a mobile order, waited at the counter. After 2 people asked what we were waiting for to which we responded the mobile order, the third person to ask informed us they had no meat and would need to refund us. This should have been addressed yhe first time before we stood waiting. We did end up still ordering something else in the meantime which was okay.

Afterwards, we decided to order two blizzards. This took quite a long time despite it not being busy at all.. and the blizzards were basically soup, completely melted, and overflowing creating a mess everywhere. Definitely no where near the "upside down" thickness a blizzard is supposed to be. We just left with our liquid blizzards, too tired to bother asking them to make more again after...

Every DQ I've been to in NS has microwaved their burgers. Even this one. Not to mention I've had that happen during low and high peak hours. Yet I've never had a microwaved burger at any DQ in 3 other provinces. That being said, I was stuck stopping here and upset that I was going to have to have a microwaved burger. I was extremely surprised that they didn't microwave it and it was fresh. Glad that I can finally change a review for a DQ in NS. Stopped in for a quick bite to eat as we had many times in the past. The service was terrible. There was only one person behind the counter when we walked in and he was busy, when a second person showed up she didn't even come to greet us or take our order. When we did finally order we were shocked and disgusted to see the lady making our food not wearing gloves and touching everything with her bare hands, I'm not sure why this DQ thinks its ok for their workers to pick up pickles and tomatoes bare handed or push down fries before adding cheese and gravy bare handed but they do.
