Soban Korean Japanese Cuisine — Restaurant in Whitecourt

Edit** came back third time now (1yr later?) and same as last time I'm very very happy, always the highlight of coming to town! Juicy, flavorful, fresh oil, perfect complimentary flavours, home made kimchi was crunchy fresh and spicy, great service and atmosphere

The service was very honest and friendly the chicken was juicy and cooked perfectly it was not overcooked and dry and slimy and fell apart nice and the outside was very crispy where you could actually hear the crunch unlike other places where it's just oily when you crunch into it you get a mouthful of oil this was actually light and the whole thing was very simple because it didn't need stuff to cover up the fact that it was high quality the kimchi was full of flavor and made in there with a nice garlic and flavor and same as the turnips which are very healthy definitely recommend coming here

Edit**. 9 months later and the quality is the same if not better, support local, save a bit more money and get higher quality tastier food , excellent...

So working in Whitecourt and I am from E-town. It's Christmas eve and I called during the day before I get off to see if they would still be open by the time I'm off. They said they would. I went & the owners were already closed and packing up their car. He came to me and apologized. He said come in he would make me dinner. The best rolls I think I have ever had. & I've ate 100's if not, q000's of maki rolls. Truly amazing. You made my Christmas being away from home. Thank you so very much. Best ever. Update. I stopped by to get a bento box and an order of California rolls. On NYE. NYE is also my birthday and I'm away from my gf, my family and friends. The bento and rolls again...

Super good and fresh food, great service! We were going to pass through Whitecourt and called in advance to ask if we could order in advance and have our food ready by the time we arrived, and right when we walked in we were brought to our table and the food came. The food was absolutely delicious and clearly very fresh. We had the beef bibimbap, yaki udon beef, sushi & sashimi bento, and assorted tempura, and they all tasted outstanding. The server (the owner?) was super friendly and checked in regularly to see if we needed anything. We would highly recommend this place to anyone (especially people who love the Japanese and Korean cuisine) and hope to...
