We have tried to give this restaurant several chances but tonight will be our last night wasting our money here.
If you order food right when they open and before 5 PM you will get a pretty good meal. However, whenever we've ordered after 5 PM our food has been less than mediocre and tonight it was terrible. We ordered the cheesesteak with a side ceasar salad and the cranberry brie burger with a side of poutine.
The cheesesteak is advertised as "thinly sliced" and what we got was pretty inedible. The pieces of meat were thick and there were a lot of pieces with connective tissue that was chewy and inedible. It was very unpleasant and disgusting. The bacon on the side ceasar salad was not freshly grilled as advertised and it didnt even looked cooked. Definitely was not worth the $3.00 upgrade fee. I wouldn't have fed this to my dog.
The cranberry brie burger was so sloppy. Cranberry sauce only on half of the burger and the brie outside of the burger. We had to completely rearrange the burger. The side of poutine had such little gravy it barely covered the fries. The fries were overdone and inedible and definitely not worth the extra $3.75. I've had better poutine at a fast food restaurant.
Overall this meal (along with other orders we've placed) was disappointing and mostly inedible. Most of it ended up as compost. We've had to take our food back before and we are so tired of having to drive back to have our food made properly when it should be made properly in the first place and as advertised. Our meal was not worth the money at all. It seems that if you order take out after 5 PM the cooks just rush everything. I dont know how you can be a professional cook and be ok to serve the garbage we got today. We would've rather waited 40 or 60 minutes to pick up our food if it meant that we could actually eat it and enjoy it. Getting a thick piece of beef with connective tissue in your first bite of food is revolting and nauseating. The beef was dry and hard to chew; I'm sure that dog food would have tasted better.
The menu in theory sounds great but this place can't execute it if their life...

We stopped just to eat at 9 PM on a Friday. It was busy, but not packed.
Service was average. A couple really friendly and helpful staff.
We ordered a small poutine, a double bacon cheeseburger, and a grilled cheese with tomato soup, getting salads with both instead of fries.
The poutine was pretty good, though I'm not well versed in poutine. The burger was above average. It was cooked well and had a good mayonnaise on it. The grilled cheese was just average. The tomato soup was above average.
The salads would be my only complaint. It was a good salad, but it was supposed to come with a choice of dressing and we we're both just served balsamic. The dressing was extremely overpowering and not great tasting.
The bar actually seemed to be a pretty chill place to hang out until the music started. It made.conversation impossible and was...
Read moreWhiskey Jacks is the best pub/bar food in the Whitehorse area, compared to other spots they have easily the best pizza and wings around. Drinks are cold, albeit what you would expect from a local bar. A few local brews and the standard tap rotation of domestic.
As per ambiance, the bar is small but clean. The patrons are mostly locals so it can get rowdy sometimes but nothing out of the ordinary. I have found the staff to be extremely kind and accommodating, we missed the kitchen closing so the waitress offered us her pizza she was going to take home and insisted. a very kind act!
The offsales is the nicest I've seen in town and pretty quick, the only downside is the parking lot can be fairly packed, also i have seen a few accidents in that spot so I would just be aware when coming and going that there are others backing up from odd angles.
all in all my favorite...
