Worst customer service I have ever experienced. 2 pm today I pulled in and parked beside a green caravan, my nose was pulled up tight to the building so cars had room to manoeuvre behind my van. As I am waiting for my order to finish cooking an employee emerged from the shack I was parked in front of. He was carrying 5 gal buckets of potatoes, as he walks closer he asked me to move my van so he didn't have to walk around it. I told him yes and continued waiting for my food. He stormed off to get more potatoes, as he is coming back with 2 more buckets he condescendingly says "I guess that's a no eh?" I said no I will move as soon as I get my food. At which point he loses it. He makes his final trip with the last bucket and proceeds to complain about my lack of respect. This all happened in about 2 minutes he carried 5 pails of potatoes a total of 35 feet. It would have taken me just as long to get in my vehicle and move it as it did for him to complete his job from start to finish. I'm guessing it was not a good day for him today. That's not my fault. He should treat customers with more respect, also if he has a preferred path he likes to walk maybe paint it on the parking lot so people won't park in those spots. There was more interaction that happened while I was waiting for my food, but you get the idea. Never...
Read moreI would not recommend this place. My experience here was unpleasant from the start. The staff were dismissive and rude, making it clear that customer service is not a priority.
What’s more concerning is the overall environment and values this business chooses to promote. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they displayed posters declaring that they would not require masks or vaccines for employees, claiming (falsely) that public health measures violated the Charter. They also openly supported the so-called “Freedom Convoy” that occupied Ottawa, and even now continue to display “freedom” signage instead of fostering a safe, welcoming space for all customers.
This is not just a matter of politics. It directly raises questions about food safety and trust. If a restaurant proudly ignores the most basic health rules in the middle of a global pandemic, how can customers feel confident that food handling and hygiene standards are being followed behind the counter? Dining out should feel safe and respectful, and this establishment fails on both counts.
Plenty of other local spots in the area offer good fries and poutine without the side of conspiracy slogans or hostility. For the sake of your comfort, your health, and your wallet, I’d strongly suggest supporting a business that puts customer care and food...
Read moreTo start the guy serving me was so dry, very cold and grouchy I felt like I was bother him by putting an order in … we ordered a cheeseburger and poutine. I asked for a all dressed cheeseburger which came with limp lettuce and mayo on the burger and a pack of mustard, relish, and ketchup on the side. I asked for onion and tomatoes, he told me he had no onions and the last bit of tomato he had was rotten. Yuck!!! Like who tells a customer that??? The food was done so fast that it made me wonder how??? The fries were the end bits and tasted like they were refried over and over. The burger was thick and soo soo dry there no way that was cooked fresh to order.. it was probably precooked and shoved in a microwave. I didn’t even finish my food with thoughts of how old this food was, a waste of my money!!! Now the prices weren’t bad and I can see why, the quality sucks. My husband and I own a food truck and we always like to stop and support other chip stand businesses but seriously I would be totally embarrassed to serve crap like this.. not sure if the guy that served us was a worker or the owner, but one thing for sure I’ll...
