I was always a fan of Wendy’s. over the years, I would make sure to stop at a Wendy’s when I am visiting Prince George or Kamloops. So I was quite excited when I heard Williams Lake was getting one. Now I admit, the service isn’t the best due to lack of staff. Ever since the pandemic, Williams Lake is one of the few cities that never recovered and rise of crime and drug use in this city is growing ridiculously. The inside of the restaurant is quite small for a Wendy’s. probably another side effect of the pandemic where they want more to go orders than people staying inside. And there are only two washrooms with one toilet in each, and yet, you can fit like 10 people in each room. Why is it so big when they could put more toilets and urinals in there? The dining area and the drive thru area is very very outdated, which is ironic since this is possibly the newest Wendy’s in British Columbia. The dining area is cold and loud unlike the comfy dining areas in other Wendy’s restaurants. And the drive thru…is very poorly designed. The window to get our food and to pay is very high up. Even with the debit machine on a stick has problems reaching. It is worse for us car drivers than it is for truck drivers. To those that were eating inside and now are headed back to their parked vehicles, you would have to walk in front of the drive thru area to get to the parking spots. Most places like A&W, Mcdonalds and Tim Hortons, has a drive thru system where it doesnt effect pedestrians walking. Tim Hortons even has a second stop sign which helps if someone is walking across. Wendy’s does not have it. just a blind corner, and if you are not careful, you walk around that corner just as a car is moving after getting their food, and they might not react fast enough and could hit you. It is an accident waiting to happen and I think it is coming. I guarantee it. One other thing, last summer, there was a very bad smell in the building. i am not sure if something was spilt, or a bunch of farmers came in to eat, but it was bad and over a year later, the smell is still there. I always watch people walking in and have a funny face, as they say to each other “It stinks in here”. so that is something they need to...
Read moreThis happened the evening of September 1st. I came through on a long journey and caught them just before they closed. I was unaware of this. The burger was heated up in a microwave and the fries were scraped from the very bottom of the trough they were all a bunch of small extra salty crispy cold fries. The drink was not the drink I ordered. It was some kind of a cherry Coke or Pepsi. I ordered a regular Coke. These guys should be fired immediately. He asked me to move off the pad so his service time doesn't go over 11 o'clock. They were obviously desperate to get out of there. If service closes at 11, then the workers should be made to stay at least half an hour longer. We used to like coming to your location, but I regret that I'll be going to A&W from now on because of how disgusting that burger was. Warm lettuce in a burger is so nasty and the bun was hotter than the patty! You people should be ashamed of yourselves. Shame on you, Fire those dirty workers have some...
Read moreI like the food. The food itself is one thing I haven't had a problem with yet. The parking is nearly impossible to be able to dine in. Why would they have it so there are only 8 parking spots, including the one employees use? The other side of the parking lot is not allowed to be used, as it's "Liquor store parking". Sometimes the customer service is iffy, sometimes it's great. I have had both good and bad on that front. I have had my order wrong a few times, but have enjoyed the meals when the orders were right. The times service has been bad, it has been BAD, where it seems like no one on at the time knew what they were doing, or didn't care enough to bother. I have had more good service than bad, but just something that might be helpful to know. The one time I was actually able to dine in it was decent, but I wouldn't say the atmosphere was special compared to...
