Le On Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Wilmot

After reading the reviews I thought we found a new great chinese food place. Not sure if we just got a bad batch of food that night or what but it was aweful. I will never go back sadly. We ordered egg rolls (insides were wayyy over cooked and outside roll was super soggy). General tso chicken (very bland flavour and very saucy like a buffalo sauce for wings almost). No chicken in the chicken balls or should I say breading balls. Sesame chicken wasnt too bad I liked it. Rice was actually very good. Almond beef was terrible, almost no beef!? But the veggies on it were very good. Sadly the worst Chinese I've ever had. Customer service was half decent, had to go to ATM because I didn't realize it was cash only till I got there. Overall...

I was feeling a little under the weather with a sinus cold and I ordered the wonton soup and C7 sub Szechuan chicken with sesame chicken. The substitution was happily done which zi really appreciated and at no extra cost! C7 came with an egg roll that was crispy and juicy. The chicken balls have a little too much batter, but they were not greasy and the sweet & sour sauce was just enough. The fried rice also quite flavourful. Gotta say the wonton soup came piping hot. The broth was a little bland, but the wontons were deliscious and made up for it. Perfect to help fight off this cold. The young man at the register lacked some personality today. Down Hill..... This place used to be GREAT! The people are nice but.....

We have been going to Le On for some years now and with new people running the show there the flavor of the food has completely changed! Everything from the rice, sauces, sesame chicken and the list goes on...... Very disappointed with the food now!

UPDATE: Here we are in 2018 and new people are running the show at Le On's! I don't understand it but I won't question it LOL! The food is MUCH better with out a doubt.
