I was honestly pretty excited to try the red swan.. I had heard good things; their menu looked amazing and the pictures looked to die for.
I ordered about 40 minutes ahead to give plenty of time. Only to arrive and be told it would be another 15. So I gave them grace and left them for another 20 plus minutes.
I later returned and stood patiently while a young girl frantically tried to balance multiple phone calls at once, a lost order (which nobody knew of its location.. so they assumed "it must be on its way"), resolving a mistake with a 10% discount (not sure what 10% does these days ๐๐).
During this frantic mess one customer walked out, an older gent sat patiently after being told "it'll be 10 more minutes" until finally it was my turn to be helped (she was so busy I had to almost but my way in).
It had now been atleast 1 hour 10 minutes since I order and a good 30 minutes beyond when it was expected to be done. And I was told "it will be another purple of minutes".....
Little do I have to explain...my patience was running thin.. but I took a seat and waited.
A couple minutes later and it was done.
My excitement now outweighs the impatience I had earlier.
When we finally opened it up I was diasapointed. The taste was good I'll give 3.5 out of 5 for that. But the cheese was overcooked and not stringy. Almost burnt but thankfully a few minutes shy.
The kids didn't eat it and sadly only a couple slices where completed overall.
My opinions:
hire more staff for sure covid or not. -implemeny an accurate timer... So the poor lady can communicate an actual completion time, and not be left giving everyone the same "a couple more minutes".. -improve the cheese quality...new Bothwell cheese is a clear improvement. -adjust your pizza ovens speed and or temperature. -smile/be friendly once and a while....it goes a long way.
Overall diasapointed to say the least... I'm undecided if...
ย ย ย Read moreI do not recommend this place. Was initially told my order would take 25 to 30 minutes to be ready. I showed up at the store 40 minutes later and was told it would take another 10 to 15 minutes. I'd like to say the pizza was good but I'm still standing in the store an hour and 10 minutes after my initial order and have not received my pizza yet.
Meanwhile another person is standing here with the same story, and another man walks in and is told his order didnt go through even though he ordered in the store. He is told to wait another 10 minutes.
I'm writing this review during the COVID19 pandemic. Their delivery drivers coming in and out of the store are not wearing masks or gloves. This does not inspire confidence in their hygiene techniques. There are no marks on the floor showing how to social distance, and no warnings anywhere asking people to keep their distance.
I can tell there isnt just one single person expediting the kitchen. I'm asked several times what my name is and then I can hear them shouting in the back about whether my order is ready or not.
Do not come here if you value your time or even...
ย ย ย Read morePricing: Excellent prices and deals offered regularly on their site Pizza: I ordered the Roman, Ancho Sweet Chili and Butter Chicken. By far we preferred the Roman. The Italian sausage was very flavorful and the toppings were well distributed on all the pizzas. I like that the onions and green peppers are diced and not long strips and I especially like the sesame seeds on the crust! All of them were on traditional crust and we liked the texture and chew of it. Some criticisms would be that the chicken could be better seasoned, since the other 2 pizzas were lacking seasoning. Butter chicken was tasty, but again, could be more seasoned, since we couldn't tell the difference from the ancho sweet chili and the butter chicken.
Overall I was very happy and would gladly order from here again. While my only complaint was that specialty pizzas could be more aggressively seasoned to really showcase the flavor that is being advertised. However, I wouldn't say that the pizzas were bland, just needed a...
