Food was tasty enough (though nowhere near as good as Sargent Taco), however, their meat is sopping wet, so it makes the tortillas soggy which is a huge issue for someone who has texture issues. This problem could be solved simply by using a slotted spoon when scooping meat into tacos so the juices would run through the slots. We tried medium and hot sauces, and both were very bland.
The portion sizes are pretty small. We each ate 3 quesadillas and a potato salad, and we were still hungry. The potato salad was EXCELLENT, though, and was easily the best part of the meal
The biggest issue I had was waiting 45 minutes for two orders of quesadillas. To me, that is unacceptable. If you're going to make customers wait that long, you should offer them something for free while they wait. Or at least let them know how long they'll be waiting so that they can make an informed decision about whether or not they want to proceed with ordering
Probably won't bother going back. Service and food are definitely better at...
Read more1st time going to the restaurant. Parking is decent there’s always lots of parking on Osborne and if not lots of side roads to park on. Atmosphere is really cool. Lots of Mexican products sold in store and some misc items as well. Menu is small but it seems like they just focus on what they do best and I respect the shit out of that. My partner and I had the tacos. I would highly recommended you try the mix and match (beef, chicken and pork). All of them were really good but the pork seemed to have stood out. Meat was really tender and flavours were really fresh. We also got the tortilla chips and guacamole dip and that was very good. The restaurant was very clean and had a lot of seating. If you’re a hungry I’d recommend getting 2 orders of the tacos. The three were good for a snack. Staff were very polite. Appeared to be a family run business so it’s always nice to support the local folks! Would recommend to drop in and...
Read moreBMC Market is one of Winnipeg's rare spots where you can find an affordable, authentic taco that truly stands out. I stopped by on a quiet Sunday afternoon and tried their pulled pork taco—and it was incredible.
The pulled pork was tender and bursting with flavor, clearly made with care. What really took it to the next level was the homemade tortilla—soft, fresh, and the perfect foundation for such a delicious filling. Every bite felt like a taste of authenticity, and it’s clear they take pride in their craft.
The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot to enjoy comforting, homemade food. Prices are refreshingly reasonable for the quality, which is a rarity in Winnipeg. Whether you're a taco enthusiast or just looking for a new culinary experience, BMC Market should be at the top of your list.
I’ll definitely be back to try more...
