Vera's food is wonderfully simple and top notch. While this restaurant, known for it's great authentic italian pizzas has been in the south osborne area for sometime now, it is truly a fantastic addition to the vibrant & nolstagic Riverview Fort Rouge neighborhood it calls home. While the service is nothing fancy, the service is quick, efficient and all the staff seem polite and well versed on the menu. When weather permits the patio is a nice touch with the tree canopys of Riverview overhead. The patio is preferred by many as the interior of the restaurant is small ,quant and a lil dated...but none of that matters once your pizza arrives. Pizzas are insanely good here, not drowning in grease and cheese, but thin authentic and creative. I had the Hot Honey Pork Za with a side of italian meatballs....and it all blew my mind. Our food arrived in 15 minutes on a busy night fresh out of the oven. The food was a great contrast to some of the other types of ho-hum pizza joints out there. I may sound a little bias but i am just a strong cheerleader for small business owners who commit to a vision of creative quality- consistency and customer care and actually execute in one of the most challenging sectors out there...Rougers dont mess around!...

I have eaten take away here a few times but today I ended up on Vera's patio and had a lovely meal. Their pizzas are very unique yet completely classic. Each pie has a special flavour that always leaves me wanting to try another.

Don't be afraid to roll up, fold, ball, fork or canoe a slice! There are as many ways to enjoy it as there are pies on the menu!

Service was really nice, and friendly and definitely made us feel warm and welcome. It's great to see that there kitchen is visible to the guests and that staff was always busy and doing something. Never felt rushed, or hurried and I really appreciate that.

The music was a bit too loud, made it hard to have a conversation and it would be nice to see a bit more effort in the decor that matched the uniqueness of the food. With a little more elegance I would feel more comfortable with the price point.

All around a great spot in the village and I would definitely recommend eating here. Worth the money, but more of a treat than a regular spot. So go ahead, treat yourself 😊.

Ordered the Fungi and margarita pies 👌 Fungi if you like stronger flavor and for sure a mushroom fan Margarita is a must try. If you don't like this, this place is not for you...

The best patio on South Osborne - could you imagine if South Osborne was lined with restaurants and patios like this? It’d be such a destination and lively street. Vera is doing it right in an area with very few patios (there are a few other gems but Vera seems to have the most seating, space, and atmosphere). With their drinks selection, this looks like the perfect summer sit down for some pizza and a few glasses of wine or beer in the sun.

Pizzas are good and staff is friendly and very prompt.

Tried the Hot Honey and it was spot on tasty. Followed up with a Rucola Prosciutto and it was more of a subdued and lighter taste experience - especially following the taste-buds exciter like Hot Honey. Would recommend the Rucola if you’re after a milder taste with emphasis on the arugula greens.

Only criticism I have is the lack of non-alcoholic drink options. They’re more commonplace now and would pair well with a pizza. A light 1664, or some nonalcoholic mocktails, or add some Italian sodas or ginger beers. Anything other than generic pop would be appreciated. 4.7/5. 5/5 once their non-alc options expand 😁.

Looking forward to coming back and trying the...

Vera's has a delicious crust. The toppings themselves are very tasty. There are some issues that I had. The topping dispersion can be very unequal. On some pieces only the middle had topping with about 2.5 inches without sauce or cheese. It ended up leaving the middle weighed down a bit. Service was helpful. I felt tolerated at times. Other times very welcome? Maybe they do not like people taking photos. The Red sauced (salsiccia) pizza was better than the white (funghi) when it came to the uneven dispersion. My friends were very happy with the Panna cotta and the salty caramel topping. This restaurant is located in south Osborne. they have a nice patio that you can access by going around the side. I do believe you need to go inside to ask for the seating first however. There was no parking lot that I could see so it's just street parking and side street parking. If you are lucky you can park in front of the restaurant. Overall we would go back. I heard the meatballs are very good and would love to try that next time.

Vera Pizza is one of the best restaurants in the city. We have been going to Vera to celebrate anniversary’s, birthdays, and milestones in our family for over 7 years. While their pizza is amazing and what they’re known for, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn’t try their salad, crostini, meatballs and my personal favorite, their panna cotta. The staff are always incredibly friendly and provide fast and quality service. The atmosphere both inside and on the patio is great.
