Norman Rockwell level nostalgia.
It really doesn't matter what you order here. You will love it and the experience will bring you back to a simpler, more authentic time. Every time, it seems it hits all the buttons... it's quick, it's clean, it's simple, it's delicious.
The breakfast pulls me back to moments that I remember sitting in a little breakfast spot with my Grandfather... the hashbrowns are perfectly golden, the eggs are cooked exactly how you hoped they would be, the fresh bread must have come out of the oven minutes ago, the coffee is far better than you expect it to be and the home made jam is the perfect final touch to it all.
I have ordered everything from a donut and coffee, to breakfast with the whole family, to enough donuts and muffins for our company meetings (7 dozen).
Elmira Donuts & Deli has never disappointed. If anything, this establishment is a staple of Elmira's small town charm...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI would often stop in for coffee on my way to work and come with my wife and our kids for breakfast or lunch quite frequently. Admittedly the food is good and the prices are great. But it comes at the expense of horrible customer service. While most of the staff are friendly, the owner is terrible! For years we overlooked many awkward interactions with this rude woman. I thought the call was dropped accidentally but when I called back in the owner harshly told me she doesn't appreciate getting phone orders and that if I want something I need to come in and order then she hung up on me again. Needless to say, I will never darken the door of this establishment again. Spend a couple bucks more and enjoy proper service at any of the other great local establishments in the downtown...

When it arrived, I politely said that it must be someone elseās. The young server was super kind and looked into it. An older woman came out and said it was my order and told me I have to take it. Weird, I know. I went up and said Iāll take it to donate to avoid waste but Iād rather get what I originally ordered. The older woman loudly complained about me waiting in line and then I was charged again for the sandwich I originally ordered. I shared this feedback with the younger server who did nothing wrong and apologized profusely for the other womanās weird behaviour. It was such an awkward experience
Right before this interaction I just told a group of friends this was the best place which is ironic. If this is the...
