Tropical Club-Restaurante — Restaurant in Fogo

We are very patient guests, but when you plan on going there, don't be hungry. It takes a looong time til you get your food. I (vegetarian) asked the waiter if there was meat in the catchupa and he said no, but then there was meat in it and when I told him, he just laughed. Also the portions we got were very small. Bottle of water expensive. Toilet: no water to flush, no water for washing your hands. Wifi was broken. Don't know why people like to go there.

We went twice to that restaurant and unfortunately i cannot agree with the extatic previous reviews. The food was really not good (i almost broke my knife trying to cut my pork filet). Even the rice that is generally of good quality in the country was low standard. And you cant even say the staff was nice, they looked pretty bired to be there and it was hard to get a smile. Of course in sao felipe many restaurants are closed for business but you ll be better off to eat street bbq or go to the italian...

The restaurant was recommended by several people and we eat dinner on our first evening. Unfortunately, they had no red wine at all to offer for us wo we sticked to water and local strela beer. The first courses with tuna fish were really good and also the second dishes were fine and we had plenty of food and a hard time eating up. But we enjoyed sea food (squid) and other meet a lot.
